The Girls are once again taking over the
Kamloops Bike Ranch to create the third annual
Ranch Camp.
What: Kamloops Ranch Camp, Third Edition NO Boys Allowed
When: May 9 to 10, 2015
Type: Gravity
Cost: $365 CDN Join an accomplished selection of professional female coach/riders from their respected programs and start your bike season off right. This weekend was designed to enhance the female rider who can shred with the boys but is looking to progress, and warmly welcomes the eager beginner who wants to figure everything out.
Smaller numbers, higher coach to guest ratio, an informative Friday evening tech session with Q&A aprés are just some of the unique aspects of this niche camp.
The Art of Cornering is explained then applied to more vertical terrain.
Quality fresh air comes in all shapes and sizes at the
Bike Ranch, for those riders wanting to refine, to those looking to learn ...
Drops made easier with the professional guidance and care.
The Kamloops Bike Ranch is a great venue to start or progress your level of comfort in the air.
Our weekend begins at 6 pm on Friday at the
Bicycle Cafe where we'll go over suspension (SAG),
understanding handlebar width, lever position plus the science behind it.
Proper suspension set up is key and Cheryl and her staff at the
Bike Cafe have been trained by
Fox Racing Shox among others, to ensure your bike is custom tuned to your needs.
After all the technical bike set up is done, a Q&A aprés will be held to answer your questions on gear, women's products plus any other bike related topics you want to learn.
Questions submitted with your registration will grant you entry for Friday night draw for a pair of the newly released (and awesomely comfortable)
Five Ten Women's Freerider shoe.
A day at Ranch Camp wouldn't be complete without a pre-shred stretch ...
Our riding days will start with a quick body warm up to maintain longevity and range of motion to our key biking joints.
CLIF Bar will again keep us nourished with the traditional products we love, as well as adding their
Organic Trail Mix Bar for us to taste. To keep us optimally hydrated,
Sport Oxylent will be joining us to keep our weekend electrolytes, antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals in check in the dry desert heat.
To enhance the weekend even more
Five Ten,
Troy Lee Designs,
Race Face,
CLIF Bar,
Sport Oxylent and
dirtyjane.com are also giving prizing for you girls to take home. Stoked to be giving away some of my favorite and 'essential' gear with more Five Ten Freerider shoes, a rad TLD lid and some product gems from Race Face.
SheJumps, a non-profit organization founded by professional skiers Lindsey Dyer, Vanessa Pierce and Claire Smallwood to increase female participation in outdoor activities is also supporting Ranch Camp with a special riders choice prize.
It's going to be a good weekend.
We access the trails at the Kamloops Bike Ranch via a paved road shuttle. Our weekend lifts will be provided by
Mostly Mental Shuttles and they have getting riders to the top of all Kamloops trails dialed.
Those travelling to Kamloops and in need of a place to stay for you (and your bike), join the coaches at
Accent Inns. Their location is conveniently located near the Bike Cafe and down the highway from the Bike Ranch.
If you're a new guest to
Accent Inns, be prepared to be stoked. Their attention to detail, genuine customer care and
Bike Love Program - complete with outside bike wash station and Park Tool kit - and how they welcome your bikes in the rooms, make you and your bike feel right at home.
Accent Inns in once again giving us a Ranch Camp Special, $95/night for 2 people and their bikes along with a complimentary kitchenette upgrade if you want (subject to availability). Enter promo code or mention the word 'RANCH' when you book.
If you want to come to camp but live far away, Kamloops Airport - YKA can help bring you there. Check
Google Flights to see what airlines will work best. (Google's powerful search engine sometimes gives me better flight options than the airlines direct!)
Katrina Strand from
Strand Training,
Kelli Sherbinin from
Endless Biking,
Stephanie Nychka and
Lorraine Blancher from
lbbikes have all confirmed they're coaching at Ranch Camp and the roster is growing as the final coaches solidify their summer travel and racing schedules.
Dirty Jane has offered all Ranch Girls an online discount code of 20% for any shopping on their niche online boutique that will be given to you upon registration and is valid until the end of August. Oxylent is giving all lbbikes clients $5 off a box with LBOXYLENT.
Click here to register and remember to add your bike questions to be entered into Friday nights draw.
Any further questions, contact Lorraine at
lbbikes-LB

We don't want to discriminate and would love to advance and refine you guys and have made options available to create dude or coed programming at the Ranch or places like Whistler.
The coaches coming can shred with the best and mentor some of the more notable. (Stephanie Nychka qualified one year for the Crankworx Slopestyle, Katrina Strand and her Whistler crew includes Finn Iles, etc ...) They have solid skills themselves along with a good eye to make strong riders better too ...
