Perhaps the best views of the trip awaited us at this gem which starts off after the Hangover loop saddle but saw us traverse slickrock ledges before dipping down to the forest for technical descents all the way back to the highway NE of Sedona

John F led us on another bewildering montage of trails that started and ended from the west end of Sedona. As expected, riding was technical, heat was searing (especially to Canucks) and views were stunning

We did an out and back on a Flagstaff trail. Only 20 miles from Sedona and it's wildly different. Instead of red rock we had pine forest, ferns, lupins and fast flowy trail.

Once again we ventured into the desert with John F and he did not lead us astray. The views were about as spectacular as you can get. The descent on 2miles on slickrock twisting and turning through sinuous veins of frozen time flowed - flow, notches, switchbacks.
