World Premiere - The Rise of Enduro - That's a Wrap
First, I dont ride uphill at all. I walk my 40 pound bike to the top. I respect riders who can climb up gnarly sections of norther California terrain and bomb down it. I said riding hard for you self is biking. I dont like going up hill at all its the least fun. Most old XC riders were DH riders and can smoke their class for having the technical skills going down and the legs for the climbs. Its just as bad ass. It takes time on a seat and knowing your limits to race a gnarly 2 hour xc race without getting of your seat. I race DH and its gnarly but its not 2 hours. its 5-7min tops. Anyways, Tom Shark dont assume anything.

Enduro is a aspect of mountain biking. Its Just people who think their carbon fiber parts and a 27.5 wheelset is going to make them go faster. Enduro races should combine the up hill ENDURANCE part with the downhill. Giving it is an enduro race. You have an hour or so to get to the top. what a joke. Its for people who can't handle a true bike race. If all these enduro rats have a carbon bike and big wheels the up hill should not be a problem. Its all all about the parts and whats new and its not the root of mountain biking. The root of riding is not even racing its just riding hard for yourself. It does not matter what wheels you got or what is carbon its progressing each time you ride to be a better cyclist. A lot of bad attitudes come with bike consumers 27.5. It will never be or ever have beent the ROOT of mountain biking.

Santa Cruz Debuts New V10 at Rat Boy Celebration
It may be fading but it sure as hell is not dead. A 27.5/29" bike wheels move faster but a talented rider can beat anyone on a 26". Its not the wheels or how much carbon you have but how you use your bike. A bike should a extension of your body and you should not depended on a wheel size to be faster. If a rider Climb hills, practices sprint training, and just riding your bike. All these things will make your faster and a skilled cyclist. People can buy into this new era of bigger wheel sizes and pay high prizes for parts, since old parts are not compatible. In all honestly it comes down to hours on the seat and athletic capabilities to be strong on and off the dirt. I'm not hating on people who have 27.5/29 but a true talented cyclist can win on any wheel size.

Pinkbike Poll: Should Enduro Transfer Stages Be as Tough as Pro XC Climbs?
I would have respect for Enduro if they accumulated the up hill climbs with the downhill times. Its a joke, since you have 45min to get to the top. Its some BS. Until races integrate this into the formate its a huge joke in my eyes. If enduro groms think they are fast and strong go race XC. if your really that good you won't have to race to prove it to anyone. TWO SIX AINT DEAD.
