I live in Kelowna, BC (not too far from Kamloops) and there are a lot of riders in this area.
  • 3 0
just saying not every biker in canada lives near loops or nelson or vancouver/whistler
  • 3 0
for me the closest town is 140km away, in a town of 14'000 theres bout 12 of us
  • 2 0
In my town, skatepark sucks and there aren't mountains. The dirts were destroyed by kids several times, sucks so bad!Frown
  • 2 0
Where i live im the only one that rides downhill/Freeride the rest there are just idiots
and the skate park sucks too. and everything you build gets destroyed by kids or dogs...
so yea its kinda boring when you spend a week building an awesome trail then BOOM nothing... because if it isnt the dogs or kids its some old persons that likes to walk in the forest and that finds a trail annoying then they just destroy it or they walk there with thier dogs and next time you go for a ride you just found a trail full of dogshit -.-. and there is places where you can build your trail and nobody destroys it but its very far from where i live. If the kids dont destroys the awesome jumps you make they just make it smaller or they use the dirt from your jump to make new small jumps then when you going to test your jump you found little holes in the jump!  Excellent! Makes me proud to live in Kamloops and see the amazing riders we've got. Though I'm too pensive to do great things at the Bike Ranch, my son is amazed by the wild stuff he gets to see!

 Great work!
I used to love all the Lone-Wolf films. Then there was the time with this long standard intro. I'm not sure why but i was a bit disappointed with those edits.
Most important for me Matt, you killing it (in all your latest edits) again. Unique shots in this one. Keep it up Wink

Anybody know the recovery time on a knee replacement to get back to riding? It's gotta beat my other option that's gonna put me out for next season entirely!
  • 3 2
I had my knee scoped and I was out for about 3 weeks with another week of 'getting back into things' so 4 weeks roughly. For knee replacement, total recovery is considered late into 'phase 4' (7-12 weeks ish) depending on you. Stick to a safe, but intense rehab program, and you'll recover sooner rather than later! I had many questions too when I had my scope, it's your knee... stay positive, take good care if it during it's healing and you'll be kicking ass in no time! I found an okay diagram at this link, not the best, but it gives you a rough idea.

Hey, I had my ACL replaced and some meniscus work done and it was a bit of a long recovery. It was roughly 4-6 months just to get in for surgery (that's the crappy part of the Canadian Health Care System...but it was all free). After that it was another 6 month recovery. In all reality though you will feel better at about the 3 month mark which the most dangerous part. You will feel fine but internally you aren't. This is when the majority of people re-injury themselves so make sure to stick to strict gym/recovery regiment under the advise of your orthopaedic surgeon or physiotherapist. Good luck, stay positive and you'll be 100% before you know it!

I have to do an intensive cartilage replacement surgery and it's 4-6 months recovery for it first 2 months on crutches and sleeping with a motion machine on it. I had my acl redone in 06 so know how bad that one sucks.
  • 1 0
are you talking artificial knee replacement? or something like microfracture? I'd avoid knee replacement if at all possible!
  • 1 0
The knee replacement was a joke. Well kind of it was thrown on the table but I'm not even 30 yet so I'm willing to sacrifice a couple extra months off the bike.
  • 1 0
haha yeah reading comprehension out the window, after saying that i looked at your profile and saw your age, all i could think was, dear god, good luck man lol. Im curious though, what surgery are you getting?
  • 1 0
They're trying microfracture. I'm missing a 12sqmm chunk of cartilage out of the outside of my knee. It's to big to transplant plugs of my own cartilage and they don't want to use a cadaver for it.
