The Mini CG Push Bike was designed with CG, everything has been designed to build the ideal balance bike to learn to ride. The frame geometry makes for an easy riding bike, while the foot rests allow the kid to learn and enjoy balance with ease.

These manufacturers need to sort out the bolts holding the rear wheel onto the frame, my 2 year old is out on the trails on his Scoot all the time and is always hitting his ankle bone off them on both sides, especially when going fast, couldn't they use a quick release or something a bit more flush against the frame, love the bikes and concept though and they beat a bike with stabilisers by a mile.
My son has a Giant Pre. It has smooth round plastic caps covering the wheel nuts. Also it has a one piece welded bar and stem with no bolts or sharp edges. It must be better than this one because he was riding it at 22 months and this one starts at 2 years. He's now two and a half and on the cusp of riding his real bike.
like many people i started out at 2 yrs old but my dad wouldnt let me use training wheels, it took a few spills to get the hang of it but once you figure it out and stop falling so much its so worth it. im not sure how much these push bikes cost but you could probably just start em on a pedal bike and save yourself some money, after all once the kid learns balance they are going to want pedals anyway.
@ LUCKYMULLEN , that was the first thing i thought at the beginning of the video when they did the slow-mo fly bye. they seemed to stick out quite a bit.
I want to see this bike built up with those rear disc tabs being used. totally essential that my lil man can experience the "paradigm shift" of the new sram brakes. (not serious)
You can buy any kids bike used for $20 and pull the cranks/bb out. Parents, don't waste the $.
Check out the Chillafish ones. I have a pair for my twins and they are super rad and light. THe there aren't any bolts sticking out, they are recessed within the frame....and $70
@dmrbikes yes I am aware that 22 months is two months short of 2 years. My joke was saying that the giant pre can be ridden at 22 months, so it must be better than the PP bike in the video, which cannot be ridden until two years old.
My 11 month daughter already has a pink Trek kicker. Can't wait till the day when we can go to the bike park and shred together.
and color, and play with playdough
My 4 (almost 5) year old started out on a Strider bike and is now riding a mini bmx bike with no training wheels. Our almost 3 year old twins are now riding Strider bikes and learning to balance. I like the CG design a lot more as the foot rest is larger than the one on the Strider frame. Looks nice!
Yeah its not a great feature on the Striders...they put a decal on it saying "STAND HERE" or whatever but its just a chain(less) stay tube. My boy doesn't use it - just outriggers his feet to the sides - because it usually gets his feet rubbing on the wheel.
He's moving up to a pedal "big boy" bike for Christmas...psyched...
My nutty son was on on of these two years ago and we could have used the disc brake tabs. That and the previous mention of rear axle bolts. Needs to be hidden or setup with the allen type you see on some mini's or junior vmx bikes.
My 5 year old son had a kick bike and never really used it but got him a Spider-Man bike and he suddenly showd an interest but because it had 16" wheels he wasn't able to ride it. Put him on his sisters 12" bike took away the training wheels and within a day he was riding.
whatever happened to just taking the cranks off your daughters my little pony bike? some of these things are in the $200 range for something they will use for a year. spend the $ on an i pod for her. lol just kidding btw
if you value sleep you might want to wait. I'm going on 11 months now of waking up 3-6 times a night. It's fun. love my daughter but damn I am a tired all the time dad
I am not convinced this bike is going to be a good deal, but if you look at 12" and 16" pedal bikes there need to be some new players and the kid's bike market is the place to start a new bike company. So many parents wanna get their kids shredding once they master the push bike and the options are pretty limited. Basically you've got lil shredder, commencal, spawn, cleary and that is about it for serious players. And of those companies lil shredder owns the top, commencal has the next step down, and then it is cleary and spawn, then wally world
@Murph86 honestly, 12's are a dying breed, 13.5 is where its at.

This is the cutest thing in the world! Look at the kid's face!
