The Kids Don't Ride
nice and so true and familiar
when i were a lad, back in the good old eighties most kids rode, but BMX not MTB and certainly not with dads - so maybe us "new age" - "desperate-to-stay-young" dads are expecting too much from the kids and, in our selfish efforts to justify our expensive hobby by "letting the kids join in" are actually ruining it for them, because no matter the era kids are kids and parents are just .. uncool, no matter how funky you look in all your matching bike gear.
come on, be truthful, getting the kids involved is a good way to justify it all to the other half, it means you can get all the gear you want, and go out on more rides .. because its for the kids .. i aint shy, i know its where im at .. it aint worked though .. bloody kids, ruining it all for me .. yep .. selfish dad thats me

Video: Chris Akrigg - Five
Cool Yorkshire Skill from the man himself
His vids are always something a little different ut always about riding and yes, he does look like he is having fun and TBH i think most that make vids do too, well except for a certain few ... .. ..
The uphill stuff got me because its damn hard to do, we can all ride down hill, some faster and smoother than others but to go up techy climbs is the stuff of voodoo!!!

Video: Danny MacAskill Imaginate Episode 1
Very well made film, nice and relaxed with an ongoing storyline
I love the fact he just wants to ride and screw the gym, i suppose once RedBull and the like have you then you gotta perform and conform, though im glad he does not appear cheesy and corporate like the Athertons unfortunately do
we see many riders on edits and for a while you feel they are as good or better than Danny, then, well then you watch him again and there is something special in his style, his riding, his flow .. everything really, once you watch him again you realise he pretty darn shit hot, yes, there maybe others who technically outskill him, but they aint him and thats where they lose out :)

Documentary: BTR Fabrications - From The Ground Up
excellent film and filming, well done gebeebee
as for the frames and the guys its simply heart warming to see this, the personal touch and dedication is something that very few people will ever have, or had the pleasure of .. its a special thing indeed.
But the reality is that i hope they can still maintain this as im sure they cant be making a great deal of money as they are also taking other jobs to subsidise, so this is a business of passion and not profit and that to me is the best thing of all .. problem is .. if they get too popular and start wanting to sell more .. .. thats when things change - be interesting to see where this goes
as for hardtails .. love em!!!

mm .. well this nis the risk you take - dont whine about it and dont diss the FC or there would be no forest at all for you to play on in the first place
instead of doing battle .. join forces with them, speak and get permission - remember the forests are also an ongoing business
i love all these trails but the risk is always there, especially if someone complains to the FC when one of you have an accident
not dissing you but be realistic, the FC as a whole support biking and trails, some individuals can be douches many can be co-operative

Hyper Cam Zink Edition Bikes Available at Walmart
erm sounds like thats a good thing for you - its bikes like this that help you stay in business unles you are like many LBS nowadays who only cater for those big " kids" that drive up in their executive cars and ask you to custom build them a 10,000 dollar bike and you kiss their booty and rape their wallets!!!

Video: Greg Minnaar Introduces His Signature O'Neal Line
lol - sorry but when dressed in all this garish downhill gear and riding out of context (i.e on the streets) people just look like pratts or little boys that are not allowed to ride a big motorbike yet - on the streets they look awkward but on the hills and with all the other racers they look the business -so its laughable that they would get a sexy look from a lady on the street -i feel it would be more of an eye-roll than anything else
tbh it has to be said but from a marketing point of view and target audience this misses the mark by a loooooong shot
the girl is pretty, but for me i would prefer to see a girl rider, battered bruised and shredding it than a blonde princess like this - would have been alot more believable to boot

First Look: Troy Lee Designs A1 Helmet
why do you want one if you have a perfectly decent one already and yes, we do judge looks each and every day thats why TLD puts so much effort into the LOOK of all their products .. as do many companies .. because it matters,
first impressions matter, if they had just left it black with basic logo then the talk, i guarantee, would have been more about the tech and abilities of the unit and not the looks, TLD messed up with this themselves and shot themselves in the foot by focusing on the look rather than the helmet and its abilities, when something is so in-your-face, like this styling, it detracts
