Review: Chromag Darco - A Very Big Little Bike
Looks sweet but $3500 for a 4130 frame which isn't even built in CA? Not a whole lot of other options for FS steel frames but compared to the Starling Murmur, which costs considerably less and looks arguably better, the Darco doesn't seem to be all that compelling.

Pivot Factory Racing Release Limited Edition Firebird
Am I seeing this right...they have 23 different builds for this model?! I don't understand why any mtb brand wouldn't offer framesets - surely they'd sell much more of their products (frames) whiles simultaneously helping the industry that supports them (LBS's). Direct ship frames to those that want to build themselves, and work with dealers to create custom complete bikes for those who want a professional build. Seems like a win-win.

Kitsbow to Close After Financing Shortfall
Seems like they used the the pandemic boom to 'buy back' their company figuring the demand would only continue to increase. You'd think that move out of CA into a much lower COL area would have had a significant budgetary impact, but the fact that they were struggling to just cover operating costs is telling of their business model. Can't say whether becoming employee-owned contributed to the down fall, but unfortunately this model has not enjoyed much success in the US, ie Burley.

The Industrial Re-Revolution: How Kitsbow Is Helping to Usher in a New Era of American Manufacturing
Abandoning the locals and employees who believed in you when you first started, who fostered your growth to what you are today, then to preach about how community is of upmost importance...yea right. It's just a cost of doing business I suppose. Sounds like they are doing all around great work in Old Fort, but I doubt they would have moved there if the town wasn't so cheap and labor wasn't so plentiful. Have the new employees enjoyed the same compensation as their forgotten CA counterparts? Has pricing reduced as a result of lower operating costs?

Because EVERYONE knows 148 boost is too flexy and won't allow the use of 3.0 tires. smh
