Vintage 1984 Releigh Triathlon road bike. Reynolds 501 tubing and more or less original parts, including Weinman wheels and brakes, Sachs Hurret front and rear mechs, . The cassette has been changed and the seatpost but I have the originals should you wish to re-instate these. The down-tube shifters were replaced as the original nylon levers snapped. The saddle, tyres and tubes are new as are the gear and brake cables. This is a classy looking retro steel machine finished in original metallic blue paint work which is in good condition for its age. The surface decals have been removed, but the Raleigh head-badge remains.

Rockshox Pike 454U-turn Dual Air 120-140mm Travel. 11/8th Straight steerer 20mm maxle for 26" wheels. Crown steerer/stanchions brand new and never ridden - steerer un-cut. They have have had a full service including the damper side when the new CSU was fitted a few weeks ago and they are ready to go. Happy to post at buyers expense or local collection is also welcome.

Giant Trance 2, bought new in mid 2014. Spec upgraded from standard with a 160mm Fox 34 Factory RAD Kashima fork to make this similar to the Trance SX from that year, rear shock is standard Fox CTD 140mm. Changed to 1x10 using a 11-42t Sunrace cassette and Zee mech with one up RAD Cage and a Superstar Componets 32t narrow wide front ring on the standard SLX 175mm cranks. Brakes upgraded to Hope Mono M4 four pot and controls now on 800mm superstar bars with a 70mm Thompson stem, Crank Brothers Iodine seat on a standard Giant Contact seat post. Matched anodized parts from Superstar Components include front mech direct mount cover, seat clamp Nano X pedals. Wheels are standard Giant wheels (SXC/PXC), will include a spare rear wheel and the kit needed to convert to 12x142 if you wish to run other wheels. Wheels are fitted with fairly new Maxxis Ardent tires. Forks and shock are in excellent condition with no marks on shaft/stanchions and are well maintained. Frame has usual signs of use with some heel rub and scuffs/scratches from stepping over the top tube, though most parts are protected with carbon effect tape. Excellent all round trail bike that copes well with gnarlier stuff. Due to recent issues shipping bikes this is for local pick up only but I may meet halfway if in Central Scotland.
