How To Save Downhill Racing... And Downhill As We Know It.
ahh they don't do that to trails in the uk. if they started to pave over our gnar/tech tracks with flowy motorways we would get pretty pissed off. I agree they are building more from scratch but it stops them dumbing down the good stuff. personally i think the self build scene is good enough by me to compensate so that i still have a pretty good choice. besides every round of the main races are fully booked within a week, so getting more mainstream here.

I totally agree with you. But I dont care how many people race DH or even care about it. The only thing that matters to me is that I can race a dh bike if I want to on a proper dh course.

Kranked Electric's EGO 45mph Santa Cruz Tallboy LTC - Sea Otter Classic 2014
to those of you that feel you need a motor on your bike. (A) lose some weight you fat bastard (or B) get stronger you lazy shit. why do we have to make everything accessible to all. part of what makes mtb good is that you have to earn the enjoyment. nobody appreciates anything that comes easily as much as they would if they had worked for it. it does make me despair at all the people that vegetate in front of mindless drivel on tv for enjoyment

Morewood Makulu large full build or frameset

$1499 GPB
*will put better pics up soon*. by far the best frame i have ever owned just ever so slightly too small for me. unused in 2011 due to injury and hardly used in 2013 due to focusing on road/AM riding there is a reason that this frame made it into the dirt100 3 years running.. its the dogs bollocks. here is what Dirt say it simply eats through rough stuff like its a road bike on tarmac and it holds it's line when you'd be playing pinball on other bikes. its an aggressive bike so it doesn't pay off till you ride it like you mean it. the frame is in fantastic condition and in full working order. it was professionally powder coated in 2013 as the white was looking a bit grey. it has a few scratches on the top tube shown in the photos from someone's brake lever on an uplift. it also has a very slight dent from the fork bumper but no cracks at all. neither of these things are a big deal but i have taken them into consideration. it comes with a fox dhx rc4 that i have recently changed the oil in and works like a dream. can come with a 225lb spring and/or 250lb for riders in the range of about 140-180lbs it also comes with your choice of headset cups a standard no offset e thirteen (65deg) or a 2 degree slacker k9 set (63deg) Stock mudguard included. 1.1/8" Headtube 83mm Bottom Bracket Shell 150mm x 12mm Rear Axle ISCG 05 Mount size: large (more like a M/L tho) Specs: Fork: fox 40 rc2. Shock: fox dhx rc4. Wheels: fantastic Hadley gold hubs laced with Mavic 729 rear and 721 front. (the hubs alone are £400 new) Brakes: shimano saint with 203f, 180r rotors. Crankset: shimano saint with e-thirteen chainring. Chainguide: 2013 e-thirteen lg1+ black. Drivetrain: 2013 sram 10spd x9 type 2 shifter and mech. Seatpost: Thomson elite post Stem / Bar: sunline v1 672 bars and 50mm stem Tyres: maxxis minions pick up optional but also willing to post at cost. payment can be made through paypal or bank transfer. willing to split the bike or swap (+some cash) for a 2011 or newer size large makulu (bigger). also open to other frames with a reach measurement of 430-460mm a la saracen myst (L), mondraker summum (L), devinci wilson (xl), scott gambler (L), or norco aurum (L) thanks for looking. feel free to ask questions and i will get back to you as soon as possible. Cheers, Matt

Course Preview: Shimano BDS Round 1 At Antur Stiniog
don't get me wrong, that track will chew you up and spit you out. it's great for training but a bit too much bike park rather than race course for me to want to race it. it's a great place to ride and i'd go there often if i could.
