Trials is a young guys sport and age has everything to do with trials. Good on him for being able to do those moves at 32yrs old. I'm 38 and I used to ride trials and don't anymore. The stress and strain it has on your ankles, lower back and shoulders is a lot. Young guys are usually more limber and able to ride injury free or able to bounce back from a rolled ankle a lot quicker.
Trials has a few basic moves - touch ups, side hop and pedal kicks. The more you're able to amplify those moves and string more and more moves together the more impressive trials is. This takes a lot of time to practice. Thats a fine juggling act at any point in life if you have work, morgage, wife, kid.......ect.

Grinding rims is for more grip. And guys will take it one step farther and also apply roofing tar to the rim. But you only use tar when its hot out. Has the opposite effect on braking in the wet.

This vid brings back memories of competing Expert Stock at the CPTA events in Belcarra & the Test and frequent the Thursday night Art Gallery group rides from back in the day. Great to see trials vids again. Might have to dig out my Koxx 1040 from the shed.

That looks like Oasis. From top of Rossland down to Cominco out side of Trail. I used to rip that trail full rigid with canties 20 yrs ago. Full on high speed trail.
Great little vid to bring back memeries.

Former MTB Pro Ryder Hesjedal Wins Giro for Canada
It doesn't matter if its road, I think a lot of guys can appreciate what Ryder has done for cycling in Canada and the USA. Its great that you chose to run this Pinkbike. So many of us indulge in all sorts of riding disciplines. So covering such a huge and monumental achievement like this will have a large reach here.
Way to go Ryder, you make me proud to be Canadian!

AmbideXCrous and Autobahn are featured in this vid. Both connected off of XCelerator. As the builder of those trails, I am blown away with how you were able captures the beauty of that landscape, the challenge and the eccense of the those trails. Levi you have such an eye for what makes guys want to just get out there and ride. It wasn't over top or in your face. Its just great and inspiring, a fantastic video. I want to get out and ride now.

Great Video, smooth as ever Bob! The double up at 2:57 is sick. That builder sure had an eye for picking some sweet lines with all those natural features.
