bigquotes We're in Ireland, it's going to rain... - Howie

Those were the words of Howie, one of the event crew here in Ireland. Minutes later the heavens opened and the golden sunshine was washed away by bitter rain and a biting wind from the north - a pattern we're likely to see all week. For the second round of this years Enduro World series the racing travels back to the northern hemisphere to the shores of the Irish Sea. The coastal town of Wicklow plays host to this years second stop as we leave behind the sub-tropical rainforest for, well, rain and forest. Much like the opening round, this race will take place on a hill rather than a mountain, a small hill laced with a great network of trails.

About the Photographers

Matt Wragg • Age: 32 • Years Shooting: 3
Maybe best-known as a long-standing member of Pinkbike's European editorial team, Matt is also a successful commercial photographer. As the first English-speaking photographer to follow and document the nascent European enduro scene, he was shooting enduro well before it became a marketing buzzword or a shade of blue. Today he is still one of the few photographers to make his living following the discipline and has built up an enviable client list that includes many of the top teams and brands in the world.

Dave Trumpore • Age: 35 • Years Shooting: 4
Dave spent the bulk of the past 17 years racing professionally before realizing that despite qualifying for the random World Cup final here and there, the next generation was just way too fast and way more talented. Upon hanging up his racing boots in 2010, it would be a few years until Dave picked up a camera and started shooting the odd race here and there as a way to stay in touch with all the friends he had made over the years, and the rest as they say is history. In just a few years time his photos have graced the pages of just about every MTB magazine and major media outlet, while his commercial client list includes a who's who of the cycling industry, and he is lucky enough to shoot regularly with some of the best riders on the planet. Currently at Pinkbike, Dave shoots the Downhill WC and the Enduro World Series as well as contributing to the occasional editorial story.

I really like this article format. Beautiful full screen high res photos, no videos (who can watch all these pinkbike video's while at work!?), finishing with a clean shot of a great pro bike. I would like pinkbike more, if there was more articles like this one!. Especially endure related...

Call me a romantic, but it's SO nice to see Matti back racing. One of the greats, but toooo many smashes in DH to be healthy. Hope EWS works for him. Good luck mate.

Officially home sick now. Used to live 10 minutes from this hill. Unfortunately such a beautiful country tends to make exiles of its people. Fair play to all involved in this. Ireland has amazing trails and should be on every mountain bikers hit list of places to visit. Great place for vacation with the family, with great pubs, great people and excellent biking!

Work brought me here. The Rockies are amazing and Edmonton has great XC on your door step. Still miss the trails I grew up riding though!

Compared to what we have in flyover country, that might as well be Mt. Everest.
