After two years of development the Maxim Bikes inaugural range is born. Starting off as 2D sketches, progressing through to 3D CAD drawings and full size prototypes, we are now proud to present to you the Maya. Leela and Rasta.

The full inaugural range. Maya Leela and Rasta.

Maya, the first downhill race bike to hit our product range is set to hit the UK Downhill scene by storm!

Boasting its high quality production, fantastic looks and a more than affordable price tag, Maya has been designed specifically for the UK’s terrain, whilst still being more than competent on a World Cup DH track.

To ride, Maya is like no other, whilst floating over the small bumps and roots with ease, hitting a big gap has never been so effortless.

Our simple yet effective suspension design is perfect for both the rider and the mechanic, standard fit bearings allow for very simple maintainence, whilst 203mm of ‘intelligent’ rear travel allows Maya to respond correctly to anything from a small braking bump to a technical rock garden.

From the general Sunday rider to the Elite Enduro racer, the Maxim Bikes Leela is perfect for everyone. With its extremely versatile capabilities, Leela can be great for a gentle xc ride or can really perform on a free-ride / downhill track. Leela is for the rider who likes to keep their options open, having the choice of actually riding uphill just like a cross country bike and coming downhill with the ease of a freeride bike.

With a similar rear suspension system to our downhill bike, Leela manages to shrug off any pedal pump, whilst still being able to react to any obstacle your rear wheel may encounter. We’ve really put in the hours getting the geometry just right on Leela and it has paid off. Being such a great bike to ride, your skills and confidence will soon improve. The Leela is very lightweight, weighing in at only 3.6kg, this is just one of the many reasons it is such a great bike for Enduro Racers.

And finally introducing our unique 4x/Dirt Jump bike, the Rasta. Incorporating its innovative ‘twin top-tube’ design and adjustable rear dropouts the Rasta is a strong yet light-weight aluminium frame it is able to provide for the most aggressive of riders. Rasta is one of the strongest hardtail frames on the market offering a ‘stiffer’ ride to other makes. The Rasta has next to no flex which is why it’s proven so perfect for the likes of 4x and urban races.

We like to think that Rasta is the bike for ‘fun’ people, with its awesome paint job you’ll be sure to be noticed. Coming with a more than affordable price tag Rasta can be perfect for anyone from the general weekend rider right up to an Elite 4x racer.
