The Eastern Enduro Triple Crown is proud to announce the return of their series and event dates for fall of 2015. The Eastern Triple Crown in its third season has quickly become one of the east coast’s premier enduro series with their events taking place at three of the most well respected mountain biking venues in northeast. Once again the Triple Crown series will put more than $30,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs this season thanks to supporting sponsors: 510, Dynaplug, GForm, Prestige MTB and SR Suntour.

The 2015 series will kickoff with the Kingdom Enduro on September 20th in East Burke, Vermont with the Kingdom Enduro at the Q Burke Mountain Bike Park. Nestled in the picturesque hills of Vermont’s world-famous Northeast Kingdom, the Kingdom Enduro offers racers the opportunity to ride and race on some of the best singletrack and downhill terrain in North America. Following the Kingdom Enduro, the series will move to Mountain Creek Bike Park in Vernon, New Jersey on October 4th for the King of the Mountain Enduro. Mountain Creek will test racers against their world-renown rock gardens and the Mid-Atlantic’s best bike park terrain.

The final stop of the series will bring racers to Highland Mountain Bike Park in Tilton, New Hampshire for their OverMountain Enduro on Sunday October 25th. A mecca for gravity riders, Highland will make for the perfect venue to end the season with and crown the overall series winners.

2015 Eastern Enduro Triple Crown Dates:

Kingdom Enduro - September 19-20 - East Burke, VT
King of the Mountain Enduro - October 3-4 - Vernon, NJ
OverMountain Enduro – Series Finals October 24-25 - Tilton, NH

New for 2015 the Triple Crown Series has partnered with the Eastern States Cup Enduro Series organizers to handle the timing and series logistics for each of their three races. This new partnership should ensure a fun, accurate and flawless race experience for all Triple Crown participants. Don’t miss out on what more than 500 Triple Crown participants discovered last season, enduro and the Triple Crown series offer some of the most fun you can have racing your bike. Just ask 2013 overall men’s winner and Giant Factory Enduro Racer, Seamus Powell who had this to say about the series:

“Mountain Creek was a blast, as always an all-out professionally done race. The tracks are all a super fun mix of rocks and bike park flow. The Highland OverMountain Enduro is your typical New England trails- full of loam, rocks, and roots. It’s a solid mix of longer downhill segments with a bit of pedal power mixed in. The Kingdom Enduro is all about flow. I feel that every mountain showcases the spirit of ‘enduro culture’ that's all the rage these days.”

Registration will be opening shortly for the Kingdom Enduro and space is limited for each race so be sure to pre-register early to ensure you spot. For more information on the Eastern Enduro Triple Crown and to register for the races visit:

Not enough timing mats, no podiums due to timing issues, tons of general bike park riders on course during the race all at mountain creek. No coordination of shutting down active roads where stages cross until multiple people almost get taken out by cars etc at Burke. I really want to like this series and neg rep me all you want but it's time to step it up if you want to be a premiere series and be more professional. Please do, as this series is awesome and a lot of us really look forward to it, but it's not worth the money put into it if it's not professionally run.

I agree that there were issues, especially with park riders allowed on the course. Plus two more issues: (1) big delays between segments when the course for the next segment intersected with the course for the last one; and (2) MCBP's trademark long lines to sign in for the race, so unnecessary.

But I'm not sure how I feel about the issues, because I don't know how much a venue like MCBP benefits from hosting an enduro race. Are we just lucky to be able to be there? If so, I can put up with a lot of issues. Are they lucky to have us there? If so, then I agree, time to smooth out the kinks.

Anyway, fun race. Glitches aside, the course they served up last year was pretty amazing, definitely not just going through the motions.

agreed, the mountain creek course was awesome! that's why I hope they pull it together this year. the big delays were caused by not enough timing mats I believe. I was trying to be critical but positive as the venues are awesome and the whole thing is a good time, work out the kinks and it WILL be the premiere series in the east. And ya, the venues do benefit, logistics are a lot harder and require more people than a single DH race though...

Hi Guys - We're the first to admit that our race did not go off as flawlessly as we would have liked last year. With the change in timing partners over to the guys who run the ESC and some additional learnings from the past 2 years, we're ready to make 2015's King of the Mountain our best one yet. Thanks for all the support and feedback, we hope to see you at the races.

I agree. The series and the courses were great but that said it does need work to get things running things smoothly and professionally. Especially because these races are not free events. I hope that ESC can help with the planning and executing of the events. I did almost get taken out by a car at the Burke race. But it's racing and it's at 3 great venues. So... I will be there!

@karlink13 my buddy almost got hit as well, scary. Shouldn't have to worry about traffic on a road in the middle of a stage. I too look forward to this year as it sounds like it's on the right track and maybe they can get some big sponsors to come back as well...

I'm very excited for this season. Good luck to all the riders.

To the organizers: PLEASE get organized. You need better organization and more volunteers. I have emailed several times to help and no one has gotten back to me. Not only for the safety of the riders but to keep the Joeys (this was more Mountain Creek) off the race track. And the track needs to be better flagged/ taped. Several times last year I watched racers take the incorrect course at Burke. If they are focused on the track at hand they should not have to focus on which way to go at a fork.

Thanks for listening and good luck this season to all the riders.

I really liked the timing method that Highland used over the past two years (simply race over the start and finish, no stopping to "clock out", or track stands to start). Is the Eastern States Cup going to adopt this same method, or will the Triple Crown be using the bracelets and those green/blue receivers at the start/finish of each stage?

Soon you'll be nostalgic about not having to come a stop and scan the chip. Kinda seems like a cool aspect of the race format.
  • 3 1
We will be using the same proven clock check system that the ESC has been using for the past two season. While the wireless chip timing was convenient the series experienced several issues related to timing over the past two years. Ultimately, we have made the decision to go with a tried and true check in system for this year.

im thinking of ridding in some of these races is a stuntjumper fsr comp 29 a good choice of bike?
  • 1 0
Depends on your bike handling skills... Mountain Creek can get pretty burly, and even tho the Stumpy is a very capable trail bike, it might be a bit outgunned.
  • 1 0
That will definitely be enough bike for Burke. Im not sure about Highland or Mountain Creek but im sure you could make it work and put up a decent time.
  • 1 0
highlands course was a little burly last year with the reef drop midcourse, and I ran a 150mm bike, but the mountain creek and burke I ran a 120mm 29er and podiumed at burke, so a stumpjumper 29 should be fine just make sure you hammer as hard as you can at any flat spot or hill to make up as much time as you can... you'll be fine and you'll have fun
