Pivot Mach 6 Carbon - Review
Just bought one last week. Ridden 5 times. Not sure what all the negatives are about. Bike goes uphill like nothing I've ever ridden. And the uphills here are all steep and technical. No issue keeping the front wheel down. I'm on a large and am 6'2". And down seems pretty awesome as well. I was worried the bigger wheels would equate to a less capable ride on the steep north shore tech descents but the shorter wheelbase means this thing navigates even the tightest corners. Haven't ripped fast at whistler yet so we'll see how it does at speed. Anyway so far I love it. Now to be fair I'm coming off a 2012 Intense Uzzi which at 40 lbs was a pig to climb with. I'm cleaning sections up that I used to walk. So maybe anything new would seem great. As for reliability my close friend has had one just over a year and rides 3-5 days a week all in all weather here in North and West Vancouver and he has had no issues with maintenance. Hence my decision to follow with one of my own. So I'm liking it.

Pinkbike Poll: The Demise of 26'' Wheels - Unnecessary Extinction or Natural Evolution?
Still have yet to see either a 650 or a 29 r in the bike park at Whistler. And maybe a dozen in the last 40 rides on Fromme Seymour or Cypress. And maybe a couple more at Squamish. Nuff said.

I watch all these pb videos and they all start to feel the same. Then along comes one of the rare few that capture the essence of MTB. And make so proud and grateful to live in BC where we get to ride this epic shit all the time.

Enjoy it and admire or at least give a little space to others who have a little talent. The guy is from Russia fro chrisakes. Been there? They don't actually get to enjoy all the stuff we take for granted. If he cud afford hopes he wudnt be grinding his rims. Why so willing to judge and ridicule others?

Hurtin' for Vert 2012 - Part 4 of 4
in 1976 I participated in an Outward Bound program in that country. I was 15. I'm now 51. Your photos took me back. I was there. Now I want to go back on two wheels. That was a great series. Every year my riding pals and I do a trip. This is now on the list. all the rides.
