The first time anyone really took notice of Brett Rheeder was at the 2010 Crankworx Colorado slopestyle contest. He'd been featured in a couple articles here on Pinkbike prior to that, but it was nothing compared to seeing a 17 year old confidently tailwhip off the whale tale mid-run. Still, he finished the contest outside of the top ten, not exactly a Crankworx podium threat. It wasn't until Nic Genovese's Winter Depression dropped that we really got a glimpse into Rheeder's potential. 2012 was a break out season for the now 19-year-old - he finished fourth overall on the FMB Tour, behind only Semenuk, Söderström, and Genon.

Brad Scholl (Mechanical Eye Media) spent the season criss-crossing North America, following Rheeder around the FMB circuit from Victoria, BC to Northfield, New Hampshire. Like HBO's Hard Knocks we gain insight into the stress and success of Brett's break out year. From a second place finish at Jumpship to the red rock of Rampage - this is Brett's story.

 Judging by how quickly he's progressing, I'm guessin by the end of this coming season. Whether its Red Bull or not... completely dependent on their budget although it'd be stupid of them not to add him, haha.

 Trek has no plans of selling their slope style bike in the near future. Apparently there just is not enough demand.
