Three boys from Stuttgart. Three days. A BMW 3. On the road to the Vosges to take advantage of the last dry and snow-free days in 2015. That was the plan for this spontaneous trip to eastern France.
Thursday night 21.00:The idea came to us while we drinking beer in a bar in the center of Stuttgart…to drive only two hours away to Vosges and produce the best bike footage of our year. Bikepark La Bresse, with new tracks and a hidden trail situated near Saint Die des Vosges, would be perfect.
Saturday morning 04:00:Equipment and bike checked, and more, dudes in the car, time to go. Our first stop was Bike Park la Bresse which is centrally located in the Vosages. With newly built trails, it's an absolute must go for everyone who likes big tables with huge airtime. Already in mid-October, temperatures were still lower than zero, which made the filming quite difficult. The icy cold morning and passing fog made for breathtaking scenery. Of course, the bike park had more to offer than you could film in one day.
... Way too much to film in too little time - as always …We quit after an exhausting 14 hours and were early to bed in our hotel room. The next day would again be very early as we were headed to Saint-Die-des-Vosges.
Sunday 05:00Once on the trail, we made the first spot check:
Completely stoked! Steep stone fields, large hips, and sandy loose corners - the trail had everything to offer. The track was perfectly built in cultivated French style and I would like to make two more runs. And like yesterday, the time flew so fast that we not could do as much as we wanted. Exhausted but happy, we loaded the car and started home with a lot of awesome footage.
... End. Or rather - on the - end. All! ...But take a look yourself. Something new - without a standard song. But with action.
Until the next story ... Keep on rolling,
Axel
