his fox suspension mattered way more than the sram stuff that was just sitting on his bike. the sram products on his bike failed, save for the brakes, and it's in no way smart to say "hey our drivetrain (which they have had a solid hold on in the market for a while) failed but our brakes (which haven't stood up to the mainstream test yet and don't represent much of the company's revenue) were great!" honestly even if his chain had stayed I doubt they would put it up there, because you can't hide the big Fox 40 on the front of his bike. at least with Nino Schurter (their other big athlete on their drivetrain but not suspension) isn't on a competitor's suspension, because DT swiss suspension doesn't really threaten sales of Rockshox stuff, but Fox does.

I wouldn't go that far mate, I'm just gonna stop believing all this bullshit SRAM is throwing down my throat about a "winning advantage" with X01 DH.

UCI Announce Further Rulings Regarding On-board Helmet Cams
Well once GoPro's live device (that can allow TV companies to use live footage from a GoPro) makes it into MTB I can guarantee that this rule will be amended, because even if Cookson has the right stuff in mind I imagine other bigshots at the UCI want $$.

Pinkbike Poll: What is a Fair Price for a Mountain Bike?
People are underestimating the value of trickle down and how we need superbikes to better the bikes we ride. Sure, 2015 Deore doesn't shift as well as 2015 XTR, but 2015 Deore also shifts so much better than 2008 XTR. You now have clutch mechanisms, wide range capability, and horizontal parallelograms on enthusiast level components. For most of us there always will be something better out there, but never let that overshadow what you already have. I can almost guarantee that 2022 Deore will shift as well as 2015 XTR M9000. The price is going down on all bikes everywhere, and without the development of no-sacrifice $10k superbikes that technology will never reach us. Without XX1, we would never have X1. Without the Pike RCT3, we would never have the Pike RC. We need top-tier bikes that cost as much as cars, because without that spare-nothing R&D race to build those bikes we would still be riding rigid 3x7s.

Albstadt XC Pit Walk: Bike Checks and Crazy Tech
just gotta say the writing in this article seems to be a bit captain obvious... which is unusual for RC.

EWS Bike Check: Jesse Melamed's Rocky Mountain Altitude
I love Shimano, and though I think XTR M9000 has it's fair share of flaws (no 10t cog- which is way more important than 42, no narrow/wide ring, stupid bcd, too much emphasis on di2 with 2x setup, etc- I haven't ridden it though), I have to say that handlebar is the cleanest setup I have ever seen with a shifter, brake lever and shock lockout. All three units are on point with design.

BUILDER - Ask Us Anything - All Done
Anyone, to what extent would you say that building trails and becoming a better trail builder has shaped your development in becoming a better rider? Do you think you perform better on a trail you have built versus one you just know really well?
