I know I said this about the last one but.......best enduro race I've done so far! Props to the top guys, it takes a lot of skill and talent to get THOSE lil' bikes down THOSE big trails so quickly!

I have rode Keystone 500 times and they have been getting a little better but their jumps are too lippy and lands full of rocks..

The jumps are fine and rocks are part of mtn biking. I loved keystone for its roots, rocks, and less polished character

 Schusler! Atta boy....

No disrespect to them, because they are WAY faster than me in pretty much all ways, but when you look at the top 5 men, and at least 2 of them are pro XC racers...does that make this a real enduro? That doesn't make me think so. Yes, I can see who won, and no, I don't think it should be only DH peeps. But looking at the pics, this gives me the impression it was something more along the lines of a Super D race.

 no pedaling = no enduro

You need to take a trip to keystone my friend

Umm, yeah, you need to go to Keystone and then call it Super D. The trails are tough as hell. You don't have any idea what you are talking about - you are making a judgment about a race's "enduroness" by who's on the podium? Three of those guys are all-mountain/enduro/super-d specialists (AKA really amazing all-around riders), one's a former World Cup XC racer, and the other a top national downhiller - that's enduro, bro.

Rad Ross was a pro XC racer for much of his career also. I like to think that to be a top XC pro, one needs to be a very well rounded rider. Just because their roots are in XC racing, does not mean that they can't shred. Look at guys like Adam Craig and Max Plaxton in North America and guys like Nino and Fontana on the World Cup scene. I'd have no doubt that they could hold their own in a proper DH oriented Enduro race. Conversely, I'd give good odds that any top World Cup DH racer could at least hang in mid-pack on a World Cup XC. At the top level, everyone is a very very good rider in all aspects. (I'm sure there's probably some Euro XC nancy's out there that are outliers, but for the most part - everyone rips up and down very well)

Is this the new thing? Bashing a race or the trails without ever having been there? A bunch of people were bashing the Oregon Enduro Series as being "too groomed" and "not enduro enough".

@thrasher2 - People have to spout off about something, right? Actually going out and racing the races and getting some knowledge is too hard. Lol

Oh, and nice work Nate. It's Newman O's time!
