Aaron Gwin's Official Statement
In it's own way your correct, example Jamis Dakar Bam 2..An aggressive rider will kill them all day and now where your incorrect, The Dakar may be great for a begginer or an easy going female rider or light weight rider, so you won't hear me bad mouth the Dakar or the Jamis company or any of it's riders , for the exact matter of fact that if your bike was a perfect set up for you and your riding style and it performed perfect for you every ride then there is nothing bad about your bike. Now if you lend me your bike for a week to say. Now every time I ride your bike the rear dropout snaps with half a day of rocks, drops n jumps that my bike handles on a regular basis. So if you and I go ride and you ride my bike without problem with only minor fit issues and lack of full confidense because your bike your more used to and also never does you wrong, and yet I tell you your bike sucks am I then correct in telling you your bike sucks. People all have their own budgets and where I may put more into my bikes than most and still be beat by the guys on the lesser bike that works flawless for him. By no meens am I saying going to Walmaet and buying the full suspension Pacific is in the comparisons here, I'm talking mid to high end DH rigs from reputable companies,

Aaron Gwin's Official Statement
Honestly, I thought 1 of the key things that kept DH racing exciting was the simple fact that it's not a team sport. It's rider against rider not bike company vs bike company, it's a sport to test the ability of the rider vs terrain vs time. I see all the blaa blaa blaa from everyone so concerned if Aaron rides a Trek or a Specialized , and how this bike is shit or that bike is shit. Well to sum it up !! It's an oppinion, which is why you have a choice in what you want to spend your money on to ride. Aaron will do well on whatever he rides whether you agree with his bike choice or not, so unless you are giving him his bikes or signing his checks. Why is anyone giving a shit???? You either like him as a racer or you don't and since he didn't screw you over , there is no reason for Aaron to have to give any of us an explanation for whom he will ride for. I ride with people with different brands of bikes and some people are faster than others, and it has nothing to do with what brand they ride but more to do with how they ride. In other words none of these bikes suck, He can win or lose on any bike and unless you pay for any of his stuff!! Your opinion is as worthless as titts on a bull, so just go ride whatever bike you choose and stop spending so much time worrying about things that don't concern you.
