Weird, any desire I had to learn tail-whips or front-flips has completely disappeared
  • + 196
No kidding. Snapping a fork on a front flip like that couldn't have gone any better though....
  • + 44
The joyride crashes seemed the worst Frown
  • + 66
Nice to see that Howey had a crash.... Proves he's human.
  • + 8
 Never stop,Never
  • + 79
This reminds me; that the Pro's have fallen many times. We usually only see the videos with only the best takes put together. But the reality is, they have fallen, hard, many times, but the reason they are so good is because they get back up and try again!

Inspiring Smile in so many ways beyond just mountain biking.

I blame 90% of these fails on skinny jeans.
  • + 9
Yeah the fork snapping one is actually pretty funny. I'm sure the rider wasn't too stoked at the time, but it's better than his face hitting that lip. The one where the dude hit his nads on the metal railing at the skatepark made me cringe a lot though. Ouch...
  • + 2
 holy pucker video batman
  • + 14
also, seems folks don't tie thier shoes.....counted 4 lost shoes
  • - 44
These are ALL photoshopped. You can totally tell. Wink
  • + 5
01.05 .. noo lost your glasses Wink
  • + 6
Thanks! I don't even want to ride this weekend now.
  • + 5
ha ha, skinny jeans are funny... but obviously not functional Frown
  • + 2
all the guy is think at 2:32 is "man am i glad i cased that jump"
  • + 1
man that fork failure could have been deadly.. watched it happen to a buddy while riding trials and when the steer tube snapped it went through his face.... it was scary shit.
  • + 3
how did that front wheel at 1:55 not taco? Should've been an instant mexican dish
  • + 2
Broken fork and walks it off like a boss.
  • + 2
How is the guy in the third to last crash? I crashed like that a month and half ago, and shattered my collarbone. If his is still in one piece, life's not fair. But seriously, I hope he, nor none of you (is)are injured in a crash like that. Damnnn, even if I could ride, I wouldn't want to. (2:45)

@RedzNC, apparently a well built wheel, would love to know what it is.
  • + 1
Mannn...i gonna retire my body armor on this hills this year - but i think i wont be giving up anytime soon now...eeeee
  • + 1
@RedzNC the rim definitely bent you can see it as the bike falls on its side, looks like a crescent moon ;-)
  • + 1
 1:48 did he get K'Oed?
  • + 1
I'm pretty sure he did, at least momentarily. Definitely one of the scarier crashes I've witnessed.
  • + 2
All this numbers showed in the end remind me about Strengh in Numbers. Have any sense?
  • + 1
Is it weird that this makes me want to ride?
  • + 1
Im not the only one.. To see some of these bails make me want to stick to simple whips Frown
  • + 1
the expresion on his face is hilarious when that fork snaps off
[Reply]
  • + 95
As if Friday wasn't awesome enough...
  • + 5
 Exactly what i was thinking.

  • + 20
With the Cheeto's crust and the amount of beer and hangover sweats that it has soaked up over the years....likely so.
  • + 3
Hangovers are best treated with cheeto's for sure...... and chocolate milk, My couch is like a snack factory it's a wonder the old lady even sits on it

54 reasons why our sport has the athletes that have the biggest balls and are the most hardcore.
  • + 3
I agree, they can almost pedal with their balls..
  • + 5
And there isn't even a rampage crash in here..
  • + 9
"our sport"...??? 85 % of the guys here are happy to survive a 3foot drop :p
  • + 3
hhaha thats me, the curb jumper
  • + 3
pfft lame! I'm a curb scrubber
[Reply]
  • + 19
when I watch this It reminds me again that there are really lucky angels out there! Yes we get hurt but it could be all worse... those guys better have a good Physio and do their stretching ! ..because when you get older you understand that you pay a prize for all those crashes! And I know what i am talking about here..I am 35 and did Dirt Competitions from 1996 till 2011.
  • + 2
Hell yeah TIMO!! Haven't seen your massive backflips in a while. You are one bad man. I can't wait to get back to Berlin.
[Reply]
  • + 18
Some of those were savage.. damn!
  • + 2
 utterly violent!

54 reasons to stick to my "wheels on the ground" policy.
[Reply]
  • + 4
the best crashes are the ones where the guy just sits there in shame (and we know they're ok), just thinking "did that really just happen?" like the attempted flare that just has a soft landing on the trees, the bike that magically decides to stand up on its own, or the guy with the broken fork lol. Just the moments that people were glad to have caught on film. The laughing rider just face-palming himself X)
[Reply]
  • + 5
Jack's slam at 2:45 didn't look the slightest bit fun. Best part was when Rheeder snapped his fork though, slides away like nothing happened.
  • + 1
 is he ok? (2:45)
  • + 1
He had a pretty solid concussion but otherwise OK.
  • + 1
oh good. I crashed like that and shattered my collarbone.
[Reply]
  • + 8
 2:45 looks brutal

10 minutes ago i've been watching Daniel Sandoval's new edit. I was stoked and I needed bike. After watching this i'm glad it's snowing and a liitle pause didn't hurt anyone yet:p
[Reply]
  • + 2
The first one was funny Though, the bike just stands there while the rider flys away lol. Thats our Sport and we gotta deal with it, if u havent fall yet, ur time is coming. On my last crash i fractured my elbow but i'm back again ready for another one!!
[Reply]
  • + 6
so i guess thats why rheeder doesnt ride his pike any more.
  • + 2
Good for him Wink . A frontflip + a Pike/an Argyle is never a confidence inspiring combination.
  • + 1
hahaha i had a "lucky" snap with my pike too, but cased a hip. if it wasnt a hip, i would not currently have a face.
  • - 1
The way he landed on that jump put extreme pressure on the steertube that would only happen in that exact scenario. I think most 1.125 steertube forks would have snapped.
[Reply]
  • + 2
If anybody ever told me that somebody could break their front forks clean off during a jump, and not take a taste of the dirt, I'd tell them they were full of it. That kid should have gone immediately to the store and bought a lottery ticket.
  • + 2
He just decided to put it into getting forth overall on the fmba this year :p
[Reply]
  • + 1
Not to discredit any of the other riders, because there was certaintly bigger things in the video, but Aggy trying to backflip the crabapple hits blows my mind, probably because ive ridden them and can't even straight clear em.
[Reply]
  • + 1
Crashes and injuries are always gonna be a part of this sport, but they will never keep us from riding and having fun on our bike!
..after every injury, the desire to get back out there gets bigger and bigger every time!
Mountain biking is not just a sport, it's a way of LIVING! Smile
[Reply]
  • + 2
Wow it really seems that (for the most part) we have reached a stage where our bikes a better equipped to go through the crap we put them through than our bodies are! Fortunately our bodies heal. Bikes don't!
  • + 1
One day we will have the option to have wolverine skeletons and healing , just gotta wait for the radiation levels to get a bit higher.
[Reply]
  • + 3
Idk why but seeing these videos makes the sport seem to much more real and makes the pros seem less godlike. It makes them seem almost human ;D

i feel the pain of some of those guys...i had a few high speed crashes this past season and they were no fun. im not crazy enough to do whips or flips so i dont know anything about those crashes though...
[Reply]
  • + 3
That Guy wouldn't have snapped the fork if he had a 3" steerer. I think we need a new standard to address this !
  • + 1
 hahahaha COD.
[Reply]
  • + 4
prefer the fails of no name riders, not pro s trying massive tricks :/
  • + 5
I can't agree with you on this one. Seeing the pros get their lickings makes it all seem more real and attainable. If the pros were always flawless it would be discouraging every time we crashed; instead, by seeing that the best of the best still have their failures before their epic successes, it encourages me to keep pushing and trying because thats the same way that the pros got to where they are. Casing a jump hurts just the same whether you are a no-name rider or a pro, the pros just get their "web-redemption" shot to show what perseverance is.
[Reply]
  • + 1
one of the, if not the most entertaining crash reel I've ever seen- awesome work! also liked that none of the crashes really made you cringe, but instead just made you say 'oh shit, that sucks, ha haa.'
[Reply]
  • + 2
judging by the mid air dismounts, vid proves that the mountain biking community are actually a world wide fraternity of ninjas
[Reply]
  • + 3
Awesome vid. Great editing. But they didn't fail, they tried. That's the most important thing.
[Reply]
  • + 2
good bye ribs, good bye wrists, good bye leg, good bye face, good bye 400 dollar helmet, good bye forks, good bye back, good bye tail bone, good bye life! ha ha sweet vid
[Reply]
  • + 1
I did a front flip (accidental) over a boulder yesterday and landed on more boulders. Really makes me wish I had a camera for all the times I've crashed... would make me feel a lot better afterwards lol.
[Reply]
  • + 2
This really makes you appreciate full-face helmets, and pads, and any other "anti-fail sequel implements" around in the market!
[Reply]
  • + 1
What I mean is that some guys rip their bikes in two or demolish a rim. Some of the crashes at crankworx 2012 was 10 times worse. I agree that many of these crashes are funny and pretty crazy.
[Reply]
  • + 2
Well .... i got to thank someone for this edit ....

One lesson learnt ....

If it's going tits up = Bail Out Quickly ! Smile
  • + 1
My Life motto mate haha Smile

You know when you watch those videos of guys shredding like made, pulling tricks aftter tricks. Yeah this is what you have t go through to get that!
[Reply]
  • + 3
NO MORE, PLEASE! so painfull to watch
[Reply]
  • + 2
Is it just me or are these vids better than the ones where they make all the jumps?
[Reply]
  • + 0
WOW! Serious piles there. Again though, it makes me wonder why everyone wears only knee pads? I'm pretty sure I didn't see one bail that used them. They all looked upper body and head smashers to me.
[Reply]
  • + 1
Sometimes one wants to cringe, sometimes one nearly dies laughing watching this sort of thing. Guy at 1.22 is having the Killer Whale treatment given him by his bike.
[Reply]
  • + 1
watch it again, but watch only the bikes... besides the snapped fork, these rigs take some serious abuse and stand up to it. its actually amazing!
[Reply]
  • + 2
Next time i go out im wrapping my mattress around me,absolutely gruesome,OUCH,OUCH,OUCH
[Reply]
  • + 3
I never want to see this video again! Hope everyone is/was ok!
[Reply]
  • + 1
I wholeheartedly respect all crashes & try not to laugh out loud.... but that guy who smashed his balls cracked me up....
  • + 2

That's what you get for trying to jump on a bike with silly sized wheels. When will people learn that 29ers are road bike with thicker tyres
[Reply]
  • + 3

[Reply]
  • + 1

[Reply]
  • + 2

[Reply]
  • + 2
So thats why ive never seen Paul do a flipwhip
[Reply]
  • + 2
Kinda wish i could see what happened to the other guy at 0:58
[Reply]
  • + 2

  • + 1
15 weeks and still not recovered from a dislocated shoulder I felt everyone of those ouch, I like the broken forks one ha ha
[Reply]
  • + 1
I would hardly call these "fails," it's more of a compilation of impossible stunts by incredible riders.
[Reply]
  • + 1
1:53 I am truly amazed that that guy's rim didn't snap, that flex it had... omg!
[Reply]
  • + 1
to learn all that tricks first you have to try and crash and still crashing again....but what a crashes..wow
