An exciting new bike park is coming to Chestermere, Alberta, in the spring of 2014.

Situated just 25 minutes from downtown Calgary, Chestermere's growing community is attracting people with its business opportunities and access to recreational activities. This bike park is a fantastic addition to the town. Nothing else like this exists in the greater Calgary region. The presence of public bike parks has exploded in BC over the last decade, but Alberta is a little behind, so it’s awesome to see a top quality project by Alpine Bike Parks being constructed here. Having the right people for the job is crucial. The build crew consisted of a stacked roster of experienced builders and riders. Jordie Lunn, Justin Wyper, Jarrett Moore, and Luke Fulgham were all contributors.

There are a wide variety of features offered at the park. This includes a large pumptrack, hip jumps, and a mix of Flowform features like drops, boner logs, and curved wall rides. The park is currently closed to public for the winter, but come springtime it will be open once the crew does the final touch ups!

“Initially rolling up I was completely blown away by the immensity of it, it’s huge!” - Stephane Pelletier

“We had great support from the town of Chestermere on this project. Were so proud to have been able to work with them and their public works department and their parks and rec department to make this park come together.” – Judd de Vall (Alpine Bike Parks Owner).

Gonna be so sick! Calgary and area so needed this, besides cop there isn't really anywhere good that's legal to ride. Plus this beats cop dirt jumps anyday!

A couple other things to know:
1. Chestermere Bike Park is closed for the winter. Please don’t poach.
2. If you live in Chestermere & love this Bike Park, please let the City of Chestermere know!

This is just the kind of playgrounds we need in communities. It brings attention to the town from professionals, it gives kids a place to go and stay out of trouble, its a great way for kids to build their skills and heck, we all know what a sick jump spot can do. We all know what kind of crew came out of Aptos, Towns need to do more of this to give kids opportunities.

They'll need to widen the highway between Calgary and Chestermere to acomodate all the traffic. Great job town of Chestermere!

This is a super welcome addition to calgary. COP doesnt even have good dirt jumps anymore, and the lift was closed all year. After buying a season pass, i couldnt get ahold of customer service to get my money back, boo Cop, YAY Chestermere!
