All you Brits out there, stop talking, get yourself a one year working visa, get on a plane with your bike and move here to BC! No excuses, just do it! I did it 8 years ago and I'm still here in paradise :-)

U.S. National Championships - Gwin Defends Title
Good to see some (mostly) intelligent debate here guys, I guess this is why we are mountain bikers and not some fat NFL fans sat in a bar somewhere, after chasing the 'American Dream' of playing NFL, failing and giving up sport alltogether. Fortunately some still people do sport for the love of it and not just to become rich.

Superfly282, stinkyzappa, paulfarley, etc. Try reading 'soccernomics' by Simon Kuper or 'bounce' by Matthew Syed. They will tell you who are the best and worst sporting nations in the world ......... And it 'aint the USA, or Canada or the UK for that matter.

Mavic Crossmax SX Wheels Review
I broke several spokes and nipples and getting them fixed was a pain in the ass. I needed to get riding again so I bought new wheels and the busted 2009 Crossmax are now gathering dust. Don't bother trying to run low pressure because you are tubeless, since if you dent the rim the metal is so brittle that you can't straighten out the dent like you can with a regular rim. So if you are going to invest in a set of these then definitely buy the crash replacement warranty!

Crankbrothers Mallet Mk3 and DH Pedals Review
I've got a set of the old Mallets and I've had no problems with them for a season riding on the shore, aside from having to regrease them once. The feel and ease of clipping in and out is awesome and I love the grip, but I'm sure they would proably disintegrate when smashed against a rock in Whistler, but that's what my bomb proof flats are for. As for Shimano, they may produce stronger more reliable pedals, but wtf, why don't you guys produce a clipless pedal with some grip?! A bit of slippery plastic under my foot is not what I want when I'm not properly clipped in and I've just committed to a sketchy rock face line. Shimano, sort your life out and give us a real DH pedal else CB will slowly capture the market as they make their products stronger and more reliable! The top DH guys use Mallets for a reason!
