Pinkbike Poll: Will You Consider Buying a 27.5+ Bike?
Because you cannot. The width is not there in the old 29er frame.

Ok, lets play: Other than "tires are made of rubber," Give me an example of a bicycle 'standard' that is less than 20 years old?

In case you haven't noticed, there have been no "standards" for about some time now. Its truly silly to complain about 'standards' when there have been multiple hub widths and axle choices, multiple BB types and choices, and Multiple steerer tube configurations for over 10 years!? This is evolution and progress. stronger, better traction, better handling, etc.. What is the beef.

Those must be 5" tire design frames, but still must be very close with a 29+ its bigger than 26X5.0 .

So Ft. Ord is relatively sandy,(I've ridden there) You currently 'prefer' 2.35 because its likely the largest tire you can run on your current frame. Which makes sense. You would really benefit from a 2.8-3.0 in those conditions. So hopefully you get to try it sometime before you close your options off so definitively.

The ultimate bike will be FS E-assist 27.5+ with airless tires and wearable solar panels on jersey for true ADV riding. Give it a few years, we will be there. (Haibike is already very close) Stoke, stoke, stir... ;-)
