Is it just me, or would that lower link hit things?? I'm a bit of hack and hit my top chain ring occasionally on rocks and roots. I wouldnt fancy bashing parts of the frame!

Pinkbike Product Picks

Chromag osx, beautiful looking bar, but only bar I've ever bent. Wouldn't get them again after ruining a set in a crash. Generally used Deity dirty 30s and they have survived many a hard crash.

Crankbrothers Mallet Mk3 and DH Pedals - Tested

... and just to clarify, i had the egg beater part of my pedals break each time. These new pedals appear to have the same eggbeater part. Shimano FTW.

I will never, ever buy another CB product. Looks fantastic, built by blind monkeys. It ALL fails prematurely. I cant be bother arguing over warranty, i just want a product that works. For the record i have owned Candy, Acid and mallet clip less pedals, and a joplin seat post. My XT Trail pedals are 500 x better, and take a beating. Dont get me started on the Joplin. I had a brain fart when i bought that one...

As a matter of interest, what does a build like that weigh in at? Thinking of one as a lightweight free ride bike, that i can still pedal around a bit if need be.
