Listen carefully, you can hear frames splaying(you can see some splaying in a few shots), shock and frames bottoming and once I think I heard some spokes moving at :35, though it may have been rocks bouncing off rotors. Some of those rock edges have to be murder on rims!
Good old Mammoth -too bad I'm too lame to qualfy this year, but there's
always September. If you missed this, book a campsite for the Kamikaze Bike Games and get down there in Sept. Such a crazy part of our wacky state.
It's fun to watch people having fun and keeping their composure on tracks I'd be walking my bike down lol the last bit into the finish was dope. Much respect to everyone riding that this weekend.
Enduro races Bullet as well, just bypasses the rock garden. Every other drop you see they hit as part of one stage. Another stage is run on Follow Me along with two other stages around 15 minutes each.
Did BULLET the weekend before and got just as stuck half way down the rock garden. THAT rock garden is a great learning curve section along with the two drops following it due to the rough lead ins and kitty litter traction issues.
The "Follow me line" with its rock garden starter kits does not compare and should rate as a blue line.
Never mind the lung squeeze at that altitude for us seaside inhabitants....
Another year, more laps in the kitty litter. It's just not that...interesting? I guess? But good on us for pretending USA cycling gives a shit about downhill
