This will be round 3 of the series where riders from all over Europe have so far raced in Winterberg, Germany and Harthill, UK before heading to Switzerland for this the 3rd and final round in Leibstadt.

The track in Leibstadt is fantastic. With a permanent Bensink 4 rider start gate, flowing track, pro line and rhythm last straight, this is a track that suits all styles of riding, but linking a perfect full lap up takes a lot of skill.

Last year's Schwalbe Euro 4X Series race in Leibstadt was won by Tomas Slavik. This year he returns as the series points leader, looking to secure the overall title. Hot on his heels is Scott Beaumont, the 2012 Schwalbe Euro 4X Series Champion, who is sat 2nd in points, just 42 points behind. With a possible 141 points up for grabs, the race for the title is still very much coming down to the wire. Local rider Simon Waldburger is fresh off a top 10 finish at the 4X ProTour last weekend and without a doubt he will have the home town advantage and support.

In the women's race, local rider Lucia Oetjen will be looking to take the win and prevent Katy Curd from claiming the overall title. Don't rule out Helene Fruhwirth who is also in contention for the overall series title.
