@korev: I might when they are older, but at the moment, they are just enjoying to ride their bikes, thats good acomplishment for me. But I am gonna be honest, i wont force them into the "no dig no ride" bs, if they want to build is their choice not mine.

@mariomtblt: there is an age for digging, back in my 20s and early 30s i did a lot of bike trail construction, now in my early 40s with 2 daughters i havent touched a shovel in probably half a decade, and i dont think i am touching one until my late 50s

@Starch-Anton: no need to bash on Road cycling, lets be real all types of MTB disciplines have always been niche, i would even say that Road is also a niche sport most year round except in the summer during le tour. So the expectations should not be too high.

this duo is gonna kill it this year, i really hope XC racing gets more media coverage, i am not a Redbull fan, but since they stopped broadcasting, i have heard very little about XC racing.

@BikesBoatsNJeeps: thats true... I was just having a bad morning that day, and I've been in PB for decades now, that i know what upsets people :P I do still think that for me it works better to find a trusty mechanic at a good LBS and have him take care as much as he can of my bike. Air pressures and brake adjustments are for me to fiddle with, but the rest is his.

Buying a Stand is a waste of time and money, just have a bike mechanic do the job for you, those extra hours you work on a bike could be spent mountain biking. I never understood why people work on their own bikes, it's like a job within a hobby, or even a hobby within a hobby. This is coming from a Mechanical Engineer BTW, just spend your time wisely.
