Actually, my two older rockies that used cartridge bearings creaked like crazy too.

According to the Syntace website those pedals do not use bushings but rather 3 cartridge bearings.

World Champs 2014 - Hafjell - Photo Epic- Day 3
Agreed. I think the problems come from things getting in the bores where the bearings sit, as opposed to the cartridge itself.

World Champs 2014 - Hafjell - Photo Epic- Day 3
Kinda depends on whether you go ahead and pull the bearings and clean+grease everything...every day, or few days. Getting water everywhere and leaving it there will always lead to some trouble.

World Champs 2014 - Hafjell - Photo Epic- Day 1
There is an annual series of World Cup races, for which the winner of the series gets a trophy at the last race. This series finished a couple of weekends ago. Separate from that, there is one World Championship race held every year, for which the winner gets a rainbow jersey to wear in races of the same type until the next world champion is determined. That's what this photo story is about. Historically these races tend to be a bit wilder than a World Cup race. Any more questions?
