 Google the fbi violent crime stats, record firearms fatalities, remove gun control areas like Chicago, new York, California, etc... correlate with international stats... not hard to do, get off your ass and do the leg work. You brits... always expect us Americans to do everything for you.

 I looked, the statistics don't suggest that at all, there is a slight difference in gun murder rates in gun control zones, but that would obviously be the case without nationwide gun control and the fact that its very easy to transport guns between states, find me a link with statistics that back up your bullshit or fuck off and cuddle a school shooter.

 You didn't look at a goddamn thing if that's what you found... California alone, one of the most heavily gun controlled states in the country, accounts for more than 1/8 of the total forearms violence for all FIFTY f*cking states. Add in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Maryland and you have nearly 50% of all firearms violence coming out of 8 states. Only Texas has permissive forearms legislation as well as a high rate of viloence... the overwhelming majority of which is conducted by illegal immigrants along the Mexico border.

That's also not accounting for the disparity between legally owned firearms and illegally owned firearms. Viloence with legally own weapons is virtually nonexistent... all of this, to anyone with a working brain, clearly shows that firearms legislation does absolutely nothing to impact violent crime, except perhaps to increase it, while punishing only law abiding citizens.

 To put those figures in perspective California has roughly 1/9 of the US population; those states combined are roughly 2/5 of the US population. Louisiana has a really high gun murder rate and lax gun laws.

 @treesmoker Fair point but it's more relevant to looks at percentage of population with guns than overall population. Only 5-6% of California households own firearms yet the state accounts for better than 12% of firearms fatalities. Compare that to a state like Alaska where better than 60% of households own firearms but they account for fewer than 0.002% of firearms fatalities. The combination of no southern border, no inner city population concentrations, and the absence of soft targets where shooters know everyone is unarmed results in virtually no firearms violence. Compare that with places like Los Angeles...
