Photos By Greg Tubbs and Corbin CrimminsWhen the cats are away, the mice will play! Pro Men's field was rather small as the door was left wide open for anyone to take the win at Stevens Pass Bike Park NW Cup #6. Weather was exceptional and the evening clouds moistened the upper mountain dirt perfectly. Dare I say "Brown Pow!" well it was. Sinsei of Stevens Joel Martinez and the Stevens Bike Park Crew did a wonderful job prepping Slingshot Wookie and opened the new 'Lichen It" for the Cat 3 racers. Out of typical race character- the cat 2 racers were assigned the Wookie, making them all 'man-up' after several complaints another track was 'just too easy'.

Kent Billinsgley Enroute To A Win!
Pro men's class saw a new face on the top step. Two Wheeler Dealer/Maxxis racer Kent Billingsley earned a win against an army of Freehub Mag/Transition racers. NW Cup overall points leader Trevor Parson was fiercly charging the track and inspring his fellow team mates in a feverish fashion, Northern California's Even Geankoplis was seen hot on Trevor's heels all weekend as well as Victor Smith and TM Matt Orlando. Who is that wearing Jill Kintner's RedBull helmet!?! Oh look it that- Shaums March is running a NW Cup race plate. Thomas Ravina of Marin gave his best effort while GoHuckYourself rider Lucas Chalcraft earns his first Pro Podium for 5th, in his first pro race. Congrats Lucas!

In womens pro- the field is starting to grow. Current NW Cup overall points leader Michelle Benson pushed her bike hard for a solid third, Freehub Mag/Transition racer Britney White cat scratched her way into second and The Bike Hub's Jaime Rees grabs another win in the NW Cup legacy. GoHuckYourself's Adrian Hopkins earned 4th and the Lumberyards Shelby Reilly nabs 5th.

The Mini Bulldog Corey Craig emulating his hero Brook McDonald
Junior Expert class also saw a new face on the top step. Inspired by Brook McDonald, SingleTrackMinds Corey Craig muscled his way onto the top step with aggressive bar breaking riding. So now we call him the 'Mini Bulldog'. This win propells the him into the overall lead of the NW Cup points race. Bjorn Mejleandel returns to a solid 2nd and SingleTrackMinds ''Manboy from Amboy' Jor Rager Jr muscles his way into 3rd! Watching the points unfold in this class has been exciting. Sadly the absence of Kole Wetherell has been noticed.
