For those who think they have what it takes to whip with the pros, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park is inviting aspiring riders to Whip It and show their stuff on Crabapple Hits on July 19, 2014. The top five riders with the most whip steeze will win a spot to join the roster for this year’s invitational Official Whip-Off World Championship at Crankworx Whistler.
During this controlled jam, riders will hit the first four hits of Crabapple hits, with judges scrutinizing and scoring the final hit.
Winning riders will be joining an impressive lineup - the top riders who have so far been invited to battle it out for the title of master of whips at Crankworx Whister in 2014 include 2013 winner Bernardo Cruz, Brendan Fairclough, Eliot Jackson, Bernard Kerr, Tyler McCaul and Thomas Vanderham. This year's switch to an invitational format will keep competition tight and stoke high, as the world's best will descend upon Whistler for hit after hit of pure whipped style.
Pre-registration will be available online, at Guest Services or by calling the Reservation Centre. The pre-registration fee is $10. Riders can also register at 10:30 a.m. on site on the day of the event. On site registration is $15 (cash only).

In total, approximately 75 riders will muster all the steeze they’ve got come Thursday, August 14, working to whip their way to Crankworx glory.
Better start saving now so I can tell life to hold while I have a summer next year.
