Although i love beautiful scenery i feel like "bike being somewhere on the pic" is not enough for bicycle dedicated website photo contest... Only Szymon photo is presenting actuall riding. Other pics while they show some awesome vistas and lighting they wouldn't change much after removing bike or repleacing it with something else.

I know that maybe what they are trying to achieve is to evoke a sense of adventure, exploration, freedom and all those experiencec connected to MTB. But still year after year i see more and more of those landscape shoots taking high spots inn all sort of photo competitions.

Yeah i know. But also many scenery pics with tiny bicycle somewhere in it or just some dudes camping next to fire...

It's hard to go all versatile within three shots, but i agree some should have shown a little more of their portfolio.

There are only two pictures in this contest, actually really only one, that lines up with your statement. I understand what you're saying but I've noticed that if a couple photos show up in a certain way, everyone jumps on it stating how its a trend or how every photographer is doing that. Oh and my pick goes to Bill. love those kinda shots.

In slideshow contests like this, the whole point is to tell a story with your images. The winner always has the strongest story, usually consisting of close, medium, and far shots, all which work together to convey the theme the photographer has chosen. The story that Szymon's photo is telling is that the rider has found a bank and has probably hiked it about 10 times to send up a huge dirt roost so that the photographer could capture it. Those other 'tiny bike' shots are showing that the rider has probably been riding for hours to get up into the alpine, likely starting while it was dark out in order to be up there for the sweet light of the sunrise, or vice versa. As a single image Szymon's is the most dynamic, but it definitely doesn't tell the best story.

The Story is all in your head, you're talking about composition and the situation rather than the bigger picture. Everyone's Story will be different according to life, your past... Vote for the pics that touch u the most.

honnestly nobody gets my vote many seem like very unoriginal shots that have been done many times before very disappointed with this list, and why I am on my rant i pose the question why do you have to be a bike company to get a pod or vod these days should be about how cool and enteraining the video is not how "great od a product" it is with 10min of them talking ans maybe on clip of riding, just my :2cents:

Gave them all +4 except for steve shannon he got +5 because all 3 of his pics were great whereas the others each seemed to have one that i wasn't all that fond of. Overall awesome photos, i wish i could have a print of them all for my walls. Best of luck to everyone!
