Video: 2015 Cruz Fest Highlights
Andreu is doing stuff quite frankly I never thought I'd see on a bike. He's not only beasting off these huge hits but he's throwing crazy crazy style in to it. It reminds me of the early days of Shaun White. Just so far ahead of every one else with air, style, and complexity. It's mind blowing. But then again... look at this generation of snowboarders... took it too a new level. Kids grow up seeing people do amazing things and they learn how to do it... then they say... what can I do. Start that younger and younger and go farther and farther. Makes me go... dude... wtf can possibly be next.

Trailforks Trail of the Month: Santa Cruz Flow Trail
LOL! I literally just had the conversation with my co-worker about how tech goes back and forth. Progresses... etc. We were talking about bars. Was talking about how I pulled my 135 stem and skinny bars off for shorter stem and wider bars... but I'm still very narrow compared to most of todays bars.

Gotta be honest man. Been a while since I've been on Braille. I didn't know all of that was gone. I know some of it got chopped up and carried out... didn't know it was all gone. I used to love that trail. Mailboxes. Etc.

I'm definitely on board 100% with your last statement norcal101. Things have been getting closed constantly since I started riding in SC in like 93 or so. Things were illegal back then but starting in the mid/late 90's the hikers started pushing hard to get everything closed and actually get it enforced. I think organizations like MBoSC and our local rider community have gone a long way to fighting back and taking some of it back.... and showing we can ride/build and not destroy the habitat. Then people build up illegal stuff and it back tracks the community... back and forth...etc. I think efforts like this are going to be critical in this new era of riding in california where everything is regulated. If we're not careful it's going to shift toward things like motorcycles and boats where you have to buy annual passes and register your bikes. But you've hit the nail on the head of the catch of the catch 22. drivereight. I gotta be honest. I haven't been on Braille in a while. I didn't realize all the good stuff was gone. Sucks.

Lot of that attitude I don't like about some of the "locals" in santa cruz. You get it in the water. Now you're getting it on the hills. Great.

It's a brand new trail. The crowds will spread out more as time goes by. I know it sucks to see crowds and noobs on the trails but to me it's a sign that the industry is rebounding. That's a good thing. I ran in to this snowboarding the last couple seasons. My local spot made the stuff I've been riding for 20 years "soft bounds" and gave them trail names. Noobs started riding them. I've personally guided people out of there because they get out there and they're like... wtf is going on. Where's the lift. Should see their face when I tell them... no lifts out here dude. I definitely get it. But have faith... it'll slow up.
