The second race of the North American Enduro Tour (NAET), also the second race of the Oregon Enduro Series, takes place in Hood River on 20-21 June. North America's top enduro athletes will compete for top US and Canadian rankings. NAET was formed to build the enduro format of mountain bike racing, and now in its fifth year, the popularity of enduro has made NAET's initial plans reach fruition.

Hood River and the Columbia Gorge are a Northwest recreation paradise with world-class wind surfing, kite boarding, skiing and of course mountain biking. This year, the Bell Helmets Super Stage will reward the best down hill racer by offering prizes for the fastest amateurs on one of the most rugged downhill stages of the race.

Fun is in store on the mix of moto and mountain bike trails of the Post Canyon trail network that offer a mix of flow, technical and physical challenge. The conditions are dry and fast with a combination of hard packed clay and loose corners. The event crew is working hard to get ready for this seven stage enduro race that focuses more on the downhill than climbing. It's going to be a beautiful weekend of racing in Pacific Northwest.

Sponsors: Santa Cruz, Bell Helmets, Shimano, Fly Racing, Fox, Maxxis tires, Clif Bar, Mt Bachelor, E13/The Hive,

Agreed definitely not as technically demanding as some of the European enduros, but that picture certainly doesn't do the trails there any justice. They should have used this one:

Or this one:

Just so ya know, that rocky bit is about 100 meters long. The rest of Post Canyon looks like the picture they used.

not16- in the two pictures, yeah that's just one section and the gnarliest on that trail but there are other parts/trails that I would consider tech... although I'm not sure which other trails or sections they'll be racing on. That rock Carlson is sending it off in the picture is nuts because of how much speed you carry into the steep rocky below... dem fellas are gnar gnar.

They may not make for the most techy enduro courses but these trails are an absolute blast to ride. I'm stoked to have such rad trails to call home. Short before work ride, after work ride, all day epic, big climbs, big decents, jumps, singletrack, flow trails; this trail network is awesome.
