Eight children from around Rotorua were selected to be a part of this year's Share the Ride program. The kids committed to six weeks of group mountain bike rides on Monday's and Thursdays, and in return for their dedication were rewarded brand new Specialized bikes thanks to Share the Ride donations. Brett Tippie was there as the kids received their new bikes at Crankworx.

Specialized get a lot of shit on these forum for being the big S but look what they they do. I applaud them for this!

They do a lot that gets ignored. They take the good parts off bikes that go back for a warranty and use them to build up bikes for local kids.

Nice, but we should be supporting the wish of a lost fellow Kiwi rider: Mark Dunlop

His family is donating to kids without the chance to ride. Lets do it in the name and honor of this awesome lost fellow rider.

After working in the industry for 20+ years, it's that smile that keeps me coming back. Nothing opens up the freedom of a kid like a new bike.
