@Arierep: Wow nice! Did not know that. Still, GuimarĂ£es is still a long way from Lisboa. Wouldn't justify weekend rides.

No bikeparks with uplifts to be found in Portugal and with shuttles there isn't any near enough to justify the costs of weekend rides. The only way to ride a downhill bike around where I live is if you have a group of friends who bought an old van altogether and to swich driver every descent (which hasn't been possible due to covid restrictions). Otherwise you're going up by foot.
I can see it can make sense to have an electric downhill bike, but it's just not for me.
