Tippie should get the prize money. 25 years older than Remy, did it in the rain, two years ago, on a shittier bike, and then he got sh!tfaced in the village to boot.
well the people voted. not pinkbikes fault, they gave us a chance to vote for the winner and still a pro wins. Metailler's drop in was sick though... respect.
Everyone complained last time about a gopro sponsored rider winning and said we should be allowed to vote, and when they do allow us to vote, everyone votes for a gopro sponsored rider? pinkbike users confuse me
Because a majority of the people on this site who voted are complete idiots? That's a touch harsh... its a neat vid and loving the perspective from this angle of that feature but god damn. How could you not vote for a guy doing trials on sketchy, loose logs on a fat bike? I can't imagine how hard that must have been.
Even if Remy is sponsored, it doesnt matter because he still walked his bike up to the top of that line and charged it. It wasn't a perfectly groomed jump trail built and paid for by sponsors. That could have been anyone on that line and for that he deserves to take the top spot, sponsorship or not. If other pro's want to take the same approach I'd have no problem with them winning as well...just not on invite only courses paid for by sponsors.
I did join this contest and send clips like 4 times since last year and finally GoPro accepted on my entry last month, just happy to make it, but unfortunately couldn't win it. Congrats to those who won the contest.
That's the funny thing. Not only did a GoPro athlete win, he won with a boring (albeit 'extreme') video. Stoooopids where's the grass roots in dat? Perhaps a complete fail using the contest criteria: Cinematography and Composition (25%); Perspective and Degree of Difficulty of Shooting (25%); Performance and Style (25%); Overall Beauty and Lighting (25%)
