If I was going to get paid to be a mountain biker, or even if I was independently wealthy, this is the type of biking I would want to do. I don't want to be a EWS or Downhill pro. I want to travel the world and do cool adventure rides. This is where its at for me, not bro hucking down jump lines to rap.

My sentiments exactly bro. I've clocked up 4 continents on a hard tail. Save some cash by not having a carbon full sus and bought air fares instead and had adventures and memories that will last long after my now Carbon beast will ever last.

As well me....I've been a "race" guy in the past and like riding fast but I've been getting more from biking by where it's been taking me and the things I've seen, people I've met, random adventures and of course scoring an epic line or single track. Most of the guys I know around me and ride with(was), are more concerned with their Strava than just getting out and getting lost in the woods sometimes or repeating a fun section(that would slow them down). I've been taking more trips solo...I may not be as fast but I've got more stories which to me is what life is about! Smile

Unfortunately not quite the riding or videos edits of Hans and Steve but, if you like adventures by a nobody that you can relate to here's some of mine... Adventures is what biking is all about. My faves were building trails in NZ, unexpectedly doing a random DH race in Peru on my hard tail and randomly riding in Hong Kong. How many folks bother to ride in Hong Kong. Loved the places I've been the random dudes I've ridden with. We Mountain bikers are all the same the world over. Long live adventure!!!

i like both, bro hucking can be a blast with buddies as well

I moved to Washington in the summer and I've been doing weekend trips all over the pacific northwest (except BC, I need a damn visa for that) and even though i've been riding by myself, the places I've been and the people i've met have been amazing, truly some of the best times of my life. just getting the bike in the car and heading off friday after work, it's the best feeling.

Sure it's nice to go fast and do some races, but I had to choose, this is where it's at, this is what mountain biking means to me.

Of course riding with buddies is a blast, but I can have just as much fun solo riding in the middle of nowhere.

Hobo1337 bro hucking would probably be more fun for me if I didn't suck at it

there is something really fun to me about being creative with line choice, but i could also have just as much fun doing an epic solo ride. As long as im on the bike im happy

Think it's actually Steve peat and Hans Rey mate.

The guy was saying if he was a Pro he wouldn't want to race or anything, therefore his ideal lifestyle is the life that Matt Hunter lives.

Dang...after watching this, I had to sit on some stairs and think about where my life is going. So jealous...so jealous....

 I like both riders.
I liked the footage and the scenery.
I really didn't think this was edited very well at all and the soundtrack was horrible.

If this was recut this film/edit could be outstanding.

Boo and thumbs down. Not really a good video - didn't capture the place or the adventure at all like the Yeti video did. And the gratuitous skidding and sliding on a pristine landscape is so out of touch. I didn't even finish watching.

Sadly, I agree. Thought the soundtrack was totally out of place. Bit of atmosphere and quiet nature noise would have been perfect. Felt like this epic natural landscape vid with a Fest series soundtrack. Shame. Visuals were nice.

I WILL ride a bike here one day. Such a cool, varied mixture of terrain. Iceland is on the list to visit.

Spent 2 weeks in Iceland on my honeymoon backpacking, including the section of trail from 6:54 onward. The whole time I was thinking how awesome (and gnarly) those trails would be to ride. We damn near got lost in the fog on that glacier they crossed at 8:10. Weather there, even in summer is no joke. Without a doubt my favorite place on the planet. Planning a trip back there in a couple years for our 20th anniversary, but this time on 2 wheels.

Some of the best use i have seen of a drone for perspective. I used to think i live in BC why ride any where else. Ice land comes to mind. Stunning video. Thank you!

When Steve Peat officially retires from racing the pro circuit I hope he gets a little bored and makes more videos like this one to pass the time. I could watch videos like this ALL DAY LONG. Maybe one day I'll get to travel and ride trails like these....maybe someday...

What blows my mind the most is...how was this terrain possible to ride without 650b plus tires? Sick video! Cheers to Steve and Hans!

The only thing that would make this better is a Björk soundtrack.
