At the start of March 2015, Maloja’s athlete team gained a well-known Mountain Bike World Champion and overall World Cup winner.

Two-times champ Tracy Moseley collects here number one plate for the first time this year. It s going to be a big fight if she wants to hold onto it though.

Tracy Moseley (Trek Factory Race Team) is probably one of the most recognized female downhill and enduro cyclist of our time and she will now be racing for the Rimstinger sportswear label, Maloja. The Briton is not only a successful athlete; she has a strong unique character, socially engaged, well known and respected far beyond the borders of Great Britain. The entire package that is Tracy Moseley is what makes her an interesting addition to maloja. Growing up on a farm, Moseley sat on her first bike at the age of two. Three years later this was replaced by a BMX bike, which enabled her to better explore “off road” in the surrounding areas. At nine she discovered the joy of road biking and four years later a mountain bike completed her fleet, from then on everything has taken its course. After the first races had been entered she quickly learned her strong suits: Downhill yes, but uphill needed a bit more work! Her brother therefore advised her to enter a downhill race, and she finished in first place. The next triumph would follow shortly after when she became the Junior World Champion! With her success she was hit with the sobering fact that you could not earn an official title without a license. Supported by Helen Mortimer, her first sponsor, and through the acquisition of a license the young athlete set the course for her blooming career. Leading up to 2012 she had 16 World Cup wins, 2 overall World Cup victories and a Word Championship title. During this time the professional cyclist Moseley graduated in Human Biology.

After eleven successful years a turning point had been reached. Moseley said goodbye to downhill and acquired a taste for a different mountain bike discipline, all the while enjoying the out of the way places that her bicycle enabled her to explore. With new values acquired she discovered a new cycling discipline Enduro: A mixture of cross-country and downhill. Longer single trails complimented by short ascents and descents. She now enjoys the once hated uphill cycling! Unexpectedly she won the freshly launched Enduro World Series in 2013 and in 2014 she gained her second victory after a neck-and- neck race with Anne Caroline Chausson. This year she aims to defend the title once more.

"I'm really happy to be working with such a great company with a huge range of products and a massive selection of women’s clothing. Visiting the office in Germany earlier this year was great, I loved the atmosphere and ethos behind the company as well as all the employees. I'm really looking forward to working with maloja." - Tracy Moseley

"The victories are not the essential part, although we have a great deal of respect for them. A person or athlete simply has to resonate with maloja in all aspects of their character and with Tracy everything resonates. We welcome her to the team with open arms and we wish Tracy an injury-free 2015 season!" - Peter Räuber, CEO maloja

Lets face it, these clothes are not going to make her or anyone else go faster or win races. Its just sponsorship for a very talented rider. Sometimes I feel like mtb is becoming too fashion orientated. I fully understand that the pro riders need sponsorship from companies like this, But do we all need to follow everything they do? At most DH venues its hard to spot a rider that isn't clad in the latest Troy lee or Fox gear that their favourite rider wears. Bike trails are not catwalks people, let your riding be your statement, not your fluorescent pajama suit.

If you don't look the biz you can get off my trails. Seriously. I do a lot of building up around my parts and if I see someone riding them that looks like they've covered themselves in glue and ran through an op-shop, I tell them to GTFO. They always take note 'cos I've got a rep.

Love their shorts. Good brand, wish they had a more English friendly version on their website.

As a female rider, clothing is important, men take it for granted that you have lots of choices. I don't think this is lame or fashion oriented. The right gear and clothing is super important to riding performance. Maloja is a great company that make top notch gear for women, men, and kid riders - that is rare and something to talk about. I a tired of wearing sub-par clothing or only having pink or red colors for women. Since I discovered Maloja, I only want to wear their gear!!
