 Yeah, I never understood a qualifying at Rampage. It's kind of stupid because the dudes qualifying really need 2 lines and they have to do up to 4 runs. Talk about a lot of pressure. How about just everyone shred on Saturday and hold Sunday over if there is a weather delay. There I just solved it. Redbull you can put my check in the mail.

 UPDATE: The organizers have decided to try to run the remaining riders at 8:00am on Saturday morning, provided weather conditions are favorable between now and then. If (and that's a likely if given the weather forecast) they are unable to send riders off tomorrow due to rain, the results listed below from Run 1 will count as the final qualification results. There is currently a flash flood watch in effect, and 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected between now and Saturday night. Fingers crossed though.

Strong to potentially severe thunderstorms will develop across southwestern Utah starting this evening focusing the heavy rain threat to that area through early Saturday morning. Steadier moderate to heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms will then spread east encompassing all areas in the watch during the day Saturday. This heavy rainfall is expected to taper west to east Saturday night.

 I wonder what these judges numbers means is it for complete run or just for separate sections or... if its for complete runs i dont understand how can the difference be 20 points

 If you crash early in the run but do shit up to the crash point worthy of a score you can get points. From previous rampage if someone made it 50% of the run, but tricked it all the way they could score decent. The scores will range everywhere. Some riders finish the course but only do minimal tricks, where someone like Zink last year did not complete but flipped the sender and scored higher.

Not sure if that answers it but thats how I see some huge differences in scoring.

 Ya WTF, Doerfling was scored 40/50/25/56. How does judge 3 give 25 points and judge 4 scores MORE THAN DOUBLE that at 56 points?! Did they watch the same run?

 I'm so exited to see a guy and a bike from Poland this year. Don't know why Jaws is not there, but Szymon is killing it. Good luck to him.

 If AGGY can't move on to finals because he crashed sending it big (as usual) in the first qualifying run and now that the weather may compromise a second run for him, it'll be a very sad day. The man is deserves an honorary spot for finals- he's the most respected rider out there and is the epitome of freeride MTB. LET AGGY RIDE!

 I feel conflicted. There are guys I'd love to see in the finals (like Hopkins, Agassiz or Haugen) but you have to give credit to anyone who rode and did well and the crappy thing is that any rider that makes it knocks down another rider...so safety for all on second runs and stoked to see the finals with whoever makes it. Huge respect to all the riders.

 So yeah, the lightning came in partially through the second round of qualifiers, and spectators were told to leave. They were having a rider's meeting at the bottom of the course to figure out how to deal with it. In the end, Aggy hasn't qualified yet god damnit!
