  • 38 0
he also has carbon bones and enduro specific hair
  • 1 0
I dunno if its his real name but that the name he is always entered as.
  • 10 0
Some say his mum is Ed Masters.
  • 1 0

Jared Graves defeated by Wyn !!! Wow, that's weird…
  • 19 1
 Well...the dude can ride, man!
  • 16 1
seeing how he has an EWS title to defend, guessing Graves is most focused on getting a sneak peak at Rotorua while most of the other big names are recovering from Andes Pacifico or at team camp - and not getting injured in a preseason race. doesn't detract from a stellar performance from Wyn though, great to see top notch DH racers getting into it.

I guess all those wheelie wednesdays really did make the difference
  • 5 1
Jared should consider putting some wheelie wednesdays into his training as it seems to work out well for Wyn :-)
  • 2 4
Must be that #enduro specific training.
  • 13 1
On Graves first trip to Rotorua he raced the trails which all the kiwi riders cut their teeth on and he missed out on 1st by 9 seconds…. that's a top shelf effort!
  • 4 1
Yeah, Jared has probably only ridden these tracks a couple of times. Wyn could ride them all blind-folded.

The Spirit of Enduro takes a 1st and 5th. Rock on Wyn brothers. Downhill domination of enduro! Can't wait to see Troy, Blenki and Sam mixing it up with those guys too, in March.
  • 17 0
 *Master brothers
  • 20 0
 Wyn Masters FTW!
  • 11 0
That dude has the best name, especially if he ever races in the Master's class.
  • 19 0
Not as good as Enduro Davies
  • 3 0
 hahaha that was awesome

yo... 374 paid racers at a gravity race!!!! in NZ ! a country of 4.7 Million total!!!

WHAT ARE WE DOING SO WRONG IN THE USA, population 300 Million !

(38 women racing. 336 men racing. ok so the M to F ratio is the same as here on the East Coast USA)

It's your foreign policy dude! Go back to pre Woodrow Wilson isolationism and the entry numbers will pick up!
  • 5 4
Ha I take that back tadgercat. Our retarded non-sovereign puppet government is about to get us involved in an unwinnable sectarian shite storm too.
  • 4 0
your country is too big, who want's top drive days every race?
  • 2 1
#1- absolute f*ck ton of roadies here on the east coast
#2- more sports to compete with in America. the ratio of number of people involved in different sports vs. number of cyclists is a lot higher here than in NZ.
#3- organizers/promoters here aren't too good and USA Cycling is even worse
#4- people in the USA are f*cking lazy man

has absolutely nothing at all to do with governmental policy in the slightest.

 1) RRE1996's historically minded foreign policy explanation...brilliantly insanely funny.
2) mfbeast: yup..we are lazy bunch of muthafookas ...

Mountain biking has become disturbingly popular here in NZ. It seems like every second person you meet is a mountain biker......its terrible! You can't get anything done as you spend all your life talking bike sh*t!!!
  • 2 0
 exactly

One word tadger. Culture. We have a Dh culture here. Same with the Uk. Dirt mag and the '90's pros out here deserve so much credit. I believe that mag has had as much influence here as in the Uk. We have done real well to survive being affiliated with Bikenz as their govt funding is geared around olympic performances and potential - hence Dh is just a pain in the ass for them. I always say a DH race about the the 3 T's. Track, timing and transport. They are listed in prioritised order. We last had some shitty pedally nationals tracks in 1996. That's probably the main thing. Taigomano is prob right about the size of your country too. Big risk doing all that travelling if the races don't have a good reputation. If more Aussies raced our nats there would be a whole new crop of aussie rulers. Tho that track near canberra looks class. Get Tv coverage back and you Yankee devils will probably be right back up there. Racing is great but remember folks the best downhiller is the one having the most fun!

Was talking to Wyn last night. I don't think I've ever heard him so chuffed aye? Not an Enduro fan at all myself but I've been telling him to jump on this band wagon for years. Post that arm fracture he is so good at riding just under his limits for consistent results. I always tell him he trains too hard (for DH) and he should follow his heart and just play cricket in the kiwi summer !!!
  • 4 2
Speaking of cricket, the Kiwi team is doing well for once, can't say the same for England hah!
  • 4 3
You are so right there Jervis. Especially when you consider they invented the game!
You've prob heard this before www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Y3AXzZqg2k it's Kerry O'keefe and the frog joke. When NZ play Oz in the cricket get the alternative cricket commentary off the internet It's kiwi comedians doing cricket commentary. You'll love it.

Seriously...you kids are missing the fact that John Kirkcaldie finished 11th. Legend.

  • 5 0
Wyn for the win!! or is it a win for Wyn
  • 5 0
Whta bike was Wyn riding? I only know the Bulls DH bike.
  • 4 0
I wonder if Wyn wheelied the whole course?
  • 5 0
 Fucking sick yes Wyn
  • 3 0
Wow! This will certainly fire up the Australia v New Zealand rivalry
  • 3 0
Did Graves use the SB5C or 6C?
  • 2 0
From what I saw/heard, Jared was on the SB6C and Richie Rude on the SB5C
  • 1 0
 @giantvt2 Well spotted.
  • 1 1
Ummmm...anybody else look at the pics?

Looked like the earth had been razed!!! It would have been gnarly to bail amongst the stumps and felled trees. Yikes....
  • 2 0
That was the only stage with felled trees
