I am predicting Gwin breaks his front axle on the first drop, loses his front wheel, then manuals down the entire course to beat Danny Hart out of his first WC win by .0002 seconds.
  • 30 1
that was **ing hilarious, great visual.

LOOOOK AT THE MANUAL!!! – Rob Warner, July 4, 2015
  • 11 4
Gwin is on a mission from god....

*shows himself out*
  • 42 2
To be fair though, losing the front wheel would dramatically reduce his unsprung and rotational weight, while increasing the rear shocks action, so it would be easier. If he lost his front wheel AND his chain he'd be fucking unstoppable that rear shock would be so nice

 "Look at that speed wheelie!!!"

 Gwin = Unstoppable
  • 105 2
WC on the 4th of July...Gwin with extra motivation. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
  • 14 2
He will be droping exploding bike parts left right and center possibly igniting whole forest. It will be even more unforgetable than chainless win! ^^
  • 22 3
He'll start w the xo cranks. Xo stands for. eXplOsion
  • 20 11
4th of July is the second fastest day of the year for Gwin. The fastest is the day of the resurrection of our Lord and savior
  • 4 0
Wait, the Easter bunny is the savior? I'm so confused.
  • 3 0
If they had a WC on either easter or Christmas then Gwin wouldn't even need wheels, tires, or a frame, he's just hold some handlebars and stand on some pedals and hammer down the course.

 go Stevie!!
  • 10 0
nice to see Stevie back on pace, and Casey's up to speed as well.
  • 10 0
 Here comes Stevie!!
  • 3 0
 F*ck yeah - Stevie's back to form
  • 32 0
It's unlike Gwin to throw down a fast timed training, maybe he is trying to make a statement. Can't tell much from timed training, I know, but I think you can tell already how tight the times are going to be.
  • 3 1
B-MAC and Danny are fastest at the speed trap
  • 8 0
Yeah, very unusual for him to show his hand.
  • 62 0
Maybe it was an accident? Meant to just coast one out but line choice knocked 5 seconds ...
  • 54 0
It's not even his final form yet... he had his chain on
  • 7 0
That's pretty damn funny right there!
  • 17 0
I think he simply can't help spanking people at this point.
  • 8 0
 Gwin lost track of time
  • 29 0
I bet he pedaled a lot in hopes of a slow time
  • 10 0
Maybe that WAS him going slow... after that last race I'd believe it.
  • 2 0
My understanding is that he's usually spending a lot of time stopping at different sections and trying different lines. Does this mean that he's got his lines figured out already?
  • 5 0
Yea most likely wouldn't go that fast for timed training. Probably snaped his chain and went warp speed again.
  • 3 1
Either he has his lines dialed already or maybe the track is just pretty straight forward. From the course previews it didn't look like there was much in the way of huge tech sections or line variations. Looks like its going probably going to be a matter of who has the balls to just pin it the fastest.
  • 4 0
 lost his brakes.
  • 1 0
Very odd, I know timed training means nothing but still....he's like never in the top in timed training, right?
  • 2 0
i'm pretty sure he's feeling confident and no reason not to show his cards.
  • 26 1
 Where's Hill?
  • 5 0
Riders don't have to do a timed run, so he may have sat it out.
  • 10 8
Missing out a few race this year he is probably not qualified to run "timed" practice....
  • 2 1
Is he definitely riding this weekend?
  • 10 0
Yea I believe you have to have a certain ranking to be included in the timed training. I remember a few races ago Steve Smith was out timed training because he missed the first race.

would love to see stevie and sam gettin back to form soon. 2 favorite riders to watch
  • 1 0
Hill has the 81 nuber plate, and the time training is for top 80 riders only.
  • 1 1
Does that mean he won't get a qualifying run either?
  • 1 0
He'll still get a qualifying run. Everyone does.
  • 21 0
With that time Gwin probably stopped 2 times to check the lines and retry one section.
  • 5 0
He prolly stopped twice to check his chain too. Just to make sure it was there.
  • 14 0
Looks like Marcelo was hiding his lines from Claudio after all!
  • 9 0
I thought it was pretty funny in the preview that Claudio kept calling out the wrong lines and that it was pretty obvious that was the idea.
  • 14 1
 Nice work Stevie!
  • 9 0
 back in form
  • 8 0
Rachel Atherton will get a better time. That moron course marshal should've been waving the RED flag, not the Yellow. Lucky she didn't get hurt in that road gap incident with the van and dude walking across a hot track!
  • 4 0
triple scratch that its a gondola not a helicopter. couldnt tell on my little phone screen
  • 3 0
All good - I did see that "thing" on the top left.

Regardless, that's the job of the course/corner marshals to coordinate and display the appropriate flag. It still should've been a red flag for her to stop.
  • 2 0
Solid line she was rockin'. Charging.
  • 3 0
That was scary as hell just to watch.. Impressed that she held to her line regardless of all that nonsense going on!
  • 8 0
Nice steep track - perfect for a chainless run. Recon Gwin is going to take 2015.
  • 7 0
I think Gwin is feeling pretty good if hes at the top of TT. And I think Stevie is gonna come out swinging tomorrow too. Can't wait for Saturday.
  • 8 1
I'd like to see Luca crack the Top 10 this weekend.
  • 8 1
 LOOK AT THE TIME
  • 5 0
Bernard Kerr with a breathtaking speed of 31,212 km/h!!
.
.
compared to the average of 60km/h.
  • 6 0
 Cmon' Stevie Smith!
  • 2 0
Gwin, Hart and a couple others just did 1run. Feeling comfortable with the layout, and Gwin probably has every camera on him, and has a set line. Not giving that up.
  • 2 0
do you have boots on the ground??? how do you know
  • 3 1
I wonder what happened to Connor Fearon? seems way back, did he crashed or something?
besides, i think this one's gonna be epic no matter who wins it!
  • 3 1
Some riders stop to recheck lines so timed training doesn't say much
  • 3 0
has gwin got a rocket up his arse, and katy has had some some great times this year.
  • 12 1
His Demo uses a special carbonweaving preimpregnated with unicorn sperm

  • 1 0
 Boost bro. Boost.
  • 5 0
 no Elliot Jackson?
  • 1 2
Rumor has it he seriously injured himself at Whistler a few weeks ago. He didn't ride at Ft. William either.
  • 4 0
He's there. Just didn't participate in TT. Go Elliot!
  • 3 0
Only top 80 can do toms runs so no Sam Hill or Eliot Jackson.
  • 1 0
 all right, thanks
  • 2 0
Can we step back a moment to just admire that top 10... Holy crap. Can already tell its going to be a fun one to watch!! Down to the wire!!
  • 3 0
Tracey Hannah fastest at the speed trap! Hannah spelled backwards is still hannaH!
  • 2 0
As much as I want Gwin to kill it this season, I hope Stevie Smith takes the win here to make up for the late start earlier this season
  • 3 0
I'm calling for the 'other Canadian girl' Miranda Miller to podium this weekend. Hope Casey kills it too.
  • 2 0
Its only training guys....check what happened to Rachel Atherton www.facebook.com/athertonracing?pnref=story

 counted on fearon, shit!
well we´ll see but Im sure he could be high up there!
  • 4 3
Gwin's bike will once again win the WC, this time dropping Gwin on its way down..
  • 3 1
What about Sam Hill? Did he decide not to train, or even race? Frown
  • 2 1
You guys do realise that timed training don't mean shit? Just thought I'd let you know as you've probably never heard

HOLY SHIT. Okay so I watched that video and at first thought what a dip shit standing in the way sort of..

BUT WATCH THAT SHIT AGAIN. THERES A f*ckING HELICOPTER LANDING (top left of screen) THAT SHE ALMOST HITS.
  • 5 2
 jk thats a gondola car.
  • 1 1
Oh man! I did not see that the first time! So gap over a van, under a flying helicopter and barely miss the guy standing on the knuckle. Quite the jump! Hopefully her race run is less eventful and she can pull off a win
  • 2 0
That's the problem with those clutch derailleurs...you just don't hear them coming any more.
  • 3 0
I doubt she was anywhere near the gondola, there's no way they'd put a jump through the path of the lift; someone would absolutely hit it. She's about a foot away from landing on that guy, hence the reaction.
  • 1 0
 @anchoricex Troll much?
  • 1 0
 Where's sam hill!??!?!?!?!
  • 2 0
