- The rain continued to play havoc for the Elite Men, with light showers sweeping across the mountainside during finals.
- Last man on the track, Troy Brosnan was down at the first split but against all odds, managed to claw back crucial seconds in the middle sector. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to keep the pace, and crossed the line in third place.
- Loic Bruni slammed his bike on a rock after one of the corners, and his chain slipped. Bruni continued his run, keeping things tucked and smooth. He crossed the line with a fast time and was in the top spot up until Bryceland crossed the finish line.
- Stevie Smith slid off the track just before No Hecklers Drop.
- Remi Thirion did not race after injuring his ankle during practice at the start of the weekend.
- Aaron Gwin continues to lead the series points, closely followed by Loic Bruni and then Greg Minnaar.
