Tracey and Troy, LET'S GET THIS DONE ON HOME SOIL!!
  • 23 2
I honestly believe Tracey is going to win this one. When she is confident she's hard to bet, let alone on her home trail
  • 7 3
Good call. Tracy has this. Troy was riding the in the new year. They both got this for the win.
  • 12 1
Just wait for "time training means nothing" guy to appear.

 @Apostt:
I just got here, what did I miss ?
  • 7 0
@Apostt: As far as I can see Bruni is in front not Troy, I hope time trainings means something lol
  • 6 0
@Balgaroth: Troy was stupidly fast in the top half... It all depends on how much they are holding back on the pedally sections. Either way, this is going to be one hell of a race
  • 5 2
How can Tracey and Steve Smith have ridden split one in 22 and 23 seconds when everyone else takes 40 something? Either a mistake or they are gapping 2-3 berms away !!
  • 8 1
@TheBigMtt: Look closely, That column is the speed trap instead of time, even though it looks like split times.
  • 33 11
@Apostt: TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER.TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER. TIMED TRAINING DOESN'T MATTER.

@Revanchist: Speed-what? Can you explain to me what is it??
  • 1 0
@TheBigMtt: It's a point on the track where they measure the rider's current speed in km/hr.
  • 1 0
 @Yahh
You have this one. I was going to log in to say the same. Moving along...

It means nothing it means nothing it means nothing it means nothing
  • 59 0
It means that it's race weekend. That means more than nothing.
  • 2 2
@fitjoani while this is true, I guarantee you that Loic, Troy, and Remi were giving it their all. Their times indicate they were trying to smash it. If it stays dry, we're in for a close race.

Danny Hart has been putting in the graft over winter. Hopeing for another podium.
  • 5 1
 Danny Hart is my hero.
  • 3 2
 His name is "the Hobbit"

Sorry PB, but everyone needs to go watch Vital's RAW video of practice and see Gwin's ridonkulous speed through/over the whoops section. Right meow.

Thanks for the heads up! Loved the cheers for the Comencal rider. "Noice one! Noice!"

VITAL MTB burries PB in term of raw vids
  • 4 1
Damn....visibly faster through that section than anyone else
  • 5 1
@bman33: My brain unit had trouble processing just the video footage of Gwin. Can't comprehend how he analyzes the terrain and picks a perfect line that fast. Are we sure his jersey doesn't say "Intel inside"?
  • 3 0
Heres another one from the german guys, slippy stones, another angle of the Gwin whoops (holy shit tho) and that amazing Ratboy drop-scrub:

  • 5 0
LET'S GO TROY!!! THIS IS YOURS!!
  • 9 5
Let's be honest, timed training is indicative of exactly nothing. Look at the gaps, it's meaningless.
  • 17 0
Shhhh. Let us have this. It is all we have to go on.
  • 3 0
How was Tracey Hannah 24 sec faster than anyone else just in the first split?? Surely it must be a mistake or she must have gapped a few berms !
  • 2 0
Yeah that one isn't a split, it is a speedtrap I'm pretty sure
  • 4 0
Brayton up there too, good to see Smile
  • 4 0
 Let the speculation begin...

@PeeJay77: lourdes was his last race
  • 1 1
@MarcusMolloy: get out of town.. really??
  • 3 0
@brindog: I find this hard to believe. I feel like a bigger deal would have been made.
  • 2 0
@MarcusMolloy: I don't think so, he struggled to get to Lourdes thanks to UK cycling not allowing UCI points for UK races, but his result was enough to qualify for WCs.

But... on 'The Syndicate' he did say something like "I've got points for Fort William" maybe he's only going to race Ft. Bill?
  • 3 0
only the top 20 odd riders get the chance for timed training.
  • 1 0
he's not on the start list. Frown
  • 9 0
He's not going to this one because, it's super far away and he had his own race to take care off in sheffield, he's going to be at Fort Bill for sure. Since he's not chasing the overall anymore he can afford to miss this one.
  • 4 0
Peat will be racing the rest of the 2016 series. He announced at the end of the season last year that 2016 is his last year racing WC's.
  • 2 0
@deepo1: Correct - he stated he will only be racing at select events this season.
  • 4 6
Timed training, for me, shows how comfortable the rider is with the track. So unless something big changes on race day ( mechanicals, broken bikes, rider injuries, heavy rains), Loic is probably going to win it. And Smith, Brosnan, Gwin, and maybe Thirion are going to round up the podium.
  • 7 0
if you look closely you'll see that Gwin was fastest until the pedal section...
  • 9 0
Gwin never seems to go all-out in timed training. I'm surprised he's has high in the standings as he is.
  • 2 0
@BiNARYBiKE: did you see the raw? in the big whoops he just rips, I though bruni went fast but then Gwin goes trough at warp speed! also troy but Gwin wow.
  • 2 0
Timed training shows how fast someone went down the course on a run that means absolutely nothing.
  • 1 0
@ricechrispy: gwin on top of bruni, troy first in qualis, mick was unspected.
  • 1 0
