I happened to ride BlackRock one day during the shoot. There was so much gear up on the hill. Lights, generators, trucks, it was crazy. I had no clue what was going on, and no one was around. As soon as I saw this film, I knew that was what was happening up there. Cool film.
You should ask the BlackRock crew how this played out for them. It might be a cool film, but the way rules weren't followed resulted in ODF yanking all driving privileges from all trail bosses, so now the very dudes who made it all possible can't even get up the road to maintain their ridiculously awesome hand-built trails. #notf*ckingworthit #moviebrosblewit
Came directly from some of the trail bosses. They are working hard to repair their relationship with ODF and regain access, but who knows how that will play out. BRMBA is an awesome group of men and women who have built one of the best trail networks in the western US and have my full respect. I mean the BRMBA motto is Build.Ride.Respect. They should get the same respect from everyone that goes there to enjoy their beautiful handiwork. Another bummer here is that I am sure they will be a bit more gunshy the next time somebody comes along who wants to showcase their radness.
The grip that's laying all of the cord for the shoot. He has that long pause and you can almost hear his thoughts, 'man i shoulda stayed in school and become a gynecologist. I wouldn't be humping this cord up a hill, I'd be up to my elbows in T&A by now.'
just that hip alone which isn't too high up but is quite the bitch to get to. these dudes are beasts. can't imagine how bad it was for that trail in the woods.
Definitely interesting video, but let's pull back the reigns a bit and stick to the norm. Flashy lights, crap-tons of equipment, and waiting time doesn't seem worth-while to the riders in my opinion....Keep it simple.
Blood, Sweat, Tears.
And a sick video.
Was norbs the one who got bit?
