i am consumer. let me then fill the void with iphones, ipads, and other extremely important items that we need or else I will shrivel up and die with out this pill, or fall down if I can not build a crutch out of macbook pros. I need the things to live and make me happy for 3 seconds until the next thing that makes me happy becomes available with all the added features that will increase myself worth and value.

You sit on a seat, you straddle as saddle. As for why seat stays and seat posts etc- its the bike industry you should know by now that one one talked to anyone else when they designed anything in the beginning (see clipless misnomer)

We could start calling them "stools". You can sit upon, or straddle a stool. OR, from now on, we sit on a "bar saddle" for post-ride brews.

Disclaimer: I am not an expert in sitting devices, so don't take my word for it. For all I know a stool could have it's own terminology. It kind of seems like a combination of both, really. I also really enjoy commas.

I would love to see a breakdown of where Pinkbikers live. It seems from the comments like it is a pretty even split between europe/NA with a smaller contingent from the rest of the world. Maybe we are just more vocal than you guys though.
