DVO Emerald Inverted Fork- Review
I have enjoyed my Emerald immensely. So much better than the Boxxer it replaced. It won't make braking bumps vanish, but damn close. One thing that DVO is doing wrong, IMHO, is sending the forks out with WC-level damping. I'm just a regular guy, I don't need compression damping that starts at "Rampage" and goes up from there. Thankfully, working on these forks is a piece of cake, and after-sales support direct from DVO is outstanding.

O'Neal STV Protector Shirt - Review
The Race Face version is awesome. I ride with a pack most times, and the giant slab of spine pad is removable to facilitate that. I'm trying to find one for my wife, but the small size is hard to track down.

Endless Biking: Where Have All the Ladies Gone?
Agreed! Around here, racing [in general] has been on a downhill slide since the mid-90s. I see lots of women RIDING, but the provincial race series has become far less popular over the years. My wife and I were at Whistler this past weekend, and we both commented on how many women were out there ripping it up. It's good to see and a sign that the sport is healthy.

Ask Pinkbike: Upgrade an Entry-Level Bike, Zee for XC, Bracing for Autumn's Chill
I've been rolling the Zee on 13-42 (XT cassette, drop the 11, add WolfTooth 42) all season and it works a treat. At first, I had the B screw all the way in, but I was able to back it off a little and still get decent shifting. No other mods, and the dérailleur and cassette were already a year old when I made the change. Not Dura-Ace crispness, but it works well for me. I'm on a Mojo HD if it makes any difference.
