Pinkbike Poll: Are Rear Derailleurs Reliable?
I lack finesse, and choose bad lines when pressed. Crashing happens. Even if the rear derailleur doesn't always work perfectly, it still works well enough to get me in, up, down and out. Worst case I hack it into SS, which I have on 3 bikes already, so it's not a bother. I have lost more derailleurs to my wife's epic cross-chaining [she snapped a derailleur body in half - I'll find the pic] than to any other cause. NB: Sorry for the lack of clarity, I am working my way through 20L of session ale.

The MEC Dirt Search: Who Gets the Grant Gold?
Please vote for the Spin Sisters from Calgary [Dirt Search West]! They are excellent trail builders and will do a great job with the funds. Props to MEC for supporting trail building in Canada!

iceBike* 2016: Randoms I
My best were a set of Race Face with a kevlar palm. They wore through 3 sets of grips and 1 set of road hoods in 3 years before the finger seams popped. Next most durable are Thor MX gloves. I can usually get a full season between riding, building trail and working on the car.
