was a secret spot 10+ years ago, but yah fun spot, have a beer/burger at the golf clubhouse post ride as a form of paying your dues to the family that built the trails.

@tsheep: i do actually; its not just tranining harder, it's length of training: for instance, Tahnee is quite young at this point in her career and I'm not sure she has had the years to build the cardio and strength training that Rachel has; couple years and she may be the dominant rider. but I agree with what you are saying; that's why racing is so fucking fun to watch. generally speaking, the top riders are all pretty close, just that spark of brilliance or superhuman feat of strength/agility that splits the top rider. and that's why we love them for it. quality time on the bike, individual strength, bmi, heart of a champion, etc. all that goes into making a winner, especially in sprint racing. it's like that 10,000 hour rule, maybe she has more hours in the gym, more hours on the bike, we dont know really know.

i dont disagree that having an influence and support from your family is a major factor, but it isnt THE major factor; and it belittles her achievements by saying that. it's cuz she trains hard, even watching the atherton series i felt she trains harder and more focused than her brothers. training, focus, natural talent is the key to success. hanging out with fast people for sure makes you faster, but if you dont want to win you arent going to win.

i agree with rachel. stupid ass thing for claudio to say, acceptable in the nineties maybe, but get with it.
