In the third episode of Steep World, follow Kilian Bron to the amazing mountain bike/ski resort of La Clusaz, France. La Clusaz is one of Kilian's sponsors and after two podiums at last week's 'Roc des Alpes' comp, he enjoyed himself so much that he wanted to go back and get some new clips. Check out his incredible skills on the loose, super steep, dirt turns.
I rarely post, but that was savage. No slow mo, no trying to be funny, just super fun looking trail and great skill. Would take that over a bike park trail any day.
There are only a few runs in La Clusaz. They are not overly hard but good fun and easily ride able on an AM bike. If you have transport go over to Megeve also. A few more runs. Don't bother with Praz Sur Arly on the way though unless you like fireroads!! There is a MTB map here:- www.combloux.com/images/stories/decouvrir/plans/plan-vtt-2.pdf
Santa Cruz wants me to buy one of these bikes so bad. But I told them I would only take it if it was black with the top of the line kit. I also need it to be like $2500 bucks. Let me know Santa Cruz I am waiting for a call back. Happy 4th!
Nice video, sweet loamy trails and other than excessive skidding nice riding. But surely you're joking about being steep? I know steep is hard to show on film but this ain't it boys. With that loam and bermed turns it would have to be 45 degrees to be steep. Try some of the 35% grades in Laguna moon dust in the middle of the summer - then we'll talk steep.
Agreed. These trails look lovely, but they don't look that steep. maybe a couple of sections but certainly not constantly steep enough to deserve "Into the Steep" or "the loose, super steep, dirt turns"
I know mountainbiking is generally being made a lot easier and more accessible these days, but that doesn't mean truly steep tracks no longer exist. Try "up your bum" in Morzine. The track in this vid looks like an uphill in comparison.
There are lifts up to all the runs. I rode there last year, it's no Morzine but the small amount of runs they have aren't bad and La Clusaz is a really nice place.
it looks a nice place too . I would like to live in a really nice place where there are no fucked up people . its going to be difficult but I hopefully I we will find it before we retire .
