iXS Dirt Masters Winterberg, Germany

35'000 spectators, 1800 participants and all of them are looking for the fastest ride, the most perfect jump, the most elegant whip or simply the best party. From Downhill to Slopestyle to Fourcross: From May 29th to June 1st the iXS Dirt Masters Festival features all these action-packed gravity formats in Winterberg’s Bikepark. This year will see the 8th edition of what has become Europe’s biggest gravity festival.

Dreams of successes and victories. Tension and utter focus that make way for deafening cheers. Both participants and spectators are treated to some perfect moments. Enjoy the lustre of huge triumphs and the presence of world-famous freeride legends who often join the party in "Europe’s little Whistler“, as Richie Schley once dubbed Winterberg’s Bikepark. As a former world-class freeride athlete and co-organiser of the world’s most well-known freeride festival Schley is convinced: "What Winterberg has on offer is not too far off from our Crankworx in Canada."

Amateur riders get to tackle the same courses as licensed athletes, and rookies get a first taste of racing fever siding with experienced pros. This is the core of the philosophy that the iXS Dirt Masters is living after. A mix of aerial acrobatics on two wheels, thrilling races, live concerts and an exposition with fresh products. The participants are treated to mountainbike action on a world-class level. And the start lists will be packed with many of the big names of the sport again.

The most successful racing series of the recent couple of years serves as a backbone: The iXS German Downhill Cup is the downhill variety of the Bundesliga, and the Bike Unit 4X Rumble is part of the Fourcross Pro Tour. The best riders are getting huge air on the dirt jumps at the Slopestyle Contest, and at the TSG Cash for Tricks event both pro and amateur riders show their best stunts in exchange for some cash.

The latest products and trends are on display at the exhibitors’ booths in the Expo area. Lining up along Winterberg’s world-famous bobsleigh run, a total of 180 brands present numerous shows and activities.

Right from the start, the iXS Dirt Masters did not only provide its visitors with racing at daylight, but also with concerts in the evening and this tradition is to be continued in 2014. The Red Bull Tourbus Music Night will present a high-class band with “Get Dead”!
